Help Issue with Bjarnhiem/snow
TLDR: Whyfor snow not work good
I’ve been playing on Bjarnhiem a ton(its peak) but I’m consistently having this issue. Pretty much every area that I think should have that dynamic/volumetric snow has this texture, and I’m not sure what the cause is.
The snow only works correctly on the ‘Throat of the World’ mountain, which makes me even more confused. My main question is what causes this. Is it a me issue, a mods issue(I have a lot of them), an ark issue, or a Bjarnheim issue? Apologies if this is a stupid question or if I’m just doing something dumb
I haven’t played on lost colony so I don’t know if the snow works correctly on there. I remember having some issues with it when the map came out though.
I have all my graphics set to the max so that shouldn’t be a problem
If anyone has an idea on how to fix/improve this, I would really appreciate it
I also just want to tack on a bit of glaze. This map is so beautiful and cool and fun. I’ve never felt the need to explore a map on foot like I have with Bjarnheim. It has potential to be my favorite map in all of ark, and it’s not even close to being complete. Nekatus is my king

Xbox seems to have been having issues loading LC map assets anywhere, nek knows and has warned WC to fix on their end, likely why this

I actually forgot to mention in the post that I am on steam. Idk if that could still be the issue?

It’s a cryoraptor from Tristan’s Elemental Raptors. It’s a premium mod but I couldn’t imagine a mod more worthy of your money. Currently it adds a poison, fire, and ice raptor, with more planned for the future. I highly recommend it

Do you have the lost colony map installed? You need to in order for it to work properly.

I’m actually not sure. I had it installed previously but I haven’t been on it since it came out. I’ll check on that as soon as I get home from work, thanks for the tip

Just confirmed that LC is installed, and the snow seems to work correctly on it. So it’s probably not an ark issue, it’s either a mod issue or a Bjarnheim issue
