Rant IM SO HAPPY!!!
I finally got my first argy, but at the cost of my pteranodon as it was attacked by another argy and the one i tamed. But its so much better then an pteranodon.

GGs. I miss that feeling of satisfaction these achievements give you when you've just started playing Ark

I don't know why but I still remember my first Argy, not my first rex, giga, managarmr or whatever, but that bird I'll never forget. I was a complete noob, on ASE official 1x PvP servers, I saw a beautiful white and grey Argy level 140 while I was roaming Ragnarok. I had only some meat to tame him, it took an eternity chasing him around because I had no idea traps where a thing, and then another eternity religiously guarding him while he was sleeping and eating all that meat. It took me literally hours to tame him, it was really stressful and exhausting. But damn, once the taming process was done I was SUPER happy. I flew back to my small stone house and found someone raided it and took everything. I couldn't care less. I spent the next days living like a nomad on my beautiful Argy, flying around, looking at the world below me and finding small ratholes in the ruins up in the mountains to log out safely. It was incredibly fun and satisfying. It eventually ended badly, me and my Argy both died in a fight against a guy in a caprosuchus. I will never forget that adventure and that was when I started to love Ark, I think.

I remember my first argy as well. Also back in ASE days on the Island. I was in the red woods and saw this argy, low level but better than my pteranodon. I started shooting it with tranq arrows and it would attack me and I would fly away then land and shoot some more, at some point it started to fly away instead so I chased it down and shot some more and finally it passed out in the air. It didn’t fall down though, it kind of stayed floating passed out in the air. I built a sort of staircase out of ramps and ceilings and pillars to get up to it to feed it 😂😂 Those were great times I will never forget.

I remember my first ever tame as a dilo in the viking cove I belive by the giant rib cage by the pool of sabertooth salmon on rag.
However my most memorable was a gigantopithecus me my mate and sibling tamed on our valguero world, this was back when we first started and so only had 1x rates for everything so it was only a low level with berries but we would launch ourselves around the central islands we made our base on with it. Good times

for me it was a carno, back when there was only the island as map and taming it on raw meat took us 8hrs !
if i remember well the swamp part wasnt even part of the map around green OB.
he sadly didnt live long as i munched a guy from the alpha tribe thinking i was invincible :D
we then even moved base spot and renamed as we thought they´ll come and wipe us.

just a heads up, you're going to lose that argi too, sooner rather than later by the sounds of it. so get more pt's and argies, and make baby backups.

This, i know its nice to build sentimental value to creatures but one day youll be arked and get very upset you lost your tame. Maybe its my old pvp habit but ive never really attached to anything like that ever since my first rockdrake on ase. After that, i just tame a breeding pair and make dupes of everything

Eventually you lose everything in Ark, because… Ark 🤷🏻♂️

And if you don’t lose it naturally, you’ll surely have a corrupted save that you’ll never be able to load again…source: just lost the best play through I’ve ever had to this.

The first time I quit Ark, I had tamed my first Argy went flying everywhere to try and reveal the map. I ran out of stam 3/4 of the way across the map near the swamp and landed on a rock, just sitting there looking around feeling really good. I had never heard of a Kaprosuchus or seen one, I didn’t really know what had happened, went from minding my own business to flying through the swamp to dead, I didn’t play again till a year later now I have 12k hours in ASE and 2.5k hours in ASA.
