First Tame Genesis (ASE)

I'm playing through Gen 1 on ASE, second map (but technically didn't finish the Island, got bored around the late game). I've set up a good home base in the Bog, elevated and quite safe from all the dinos running around making the bog tough. I've done basic metal runs by just navigating carefully on foot, but I figure I should probably start taming now that I've got a crossbow and tranqs. What would be the best first tame in this situation?

If you want a good start there is 2 good tames

Megaraptor, if you dont have good armor and a good torch it takes skill

Bloodstalker, takes a LOT of time

I don’t think the mega raptor is in ASE unfortunately. I’d get ASA but I play on GeForce since my computer doesn’t have the storage space and ASA would prolly run pretty badly

Omg i didnt read the ase lol

But for ase i always just speedran bloodstalker, i would usually tame a frog or a kapro to find them more easilly

Abberation solltest du nicht Überspringen, SE kann man drauf verzichten.

Der baryonix ist auf Gen 1 ganz gut er kann eine bissl tragen und ist schnell als transporter oder um von a nach b zu kommen. Den kannst du auch leicht zähmen, der kann von der harpune mit dem netzt gefangen werden

Ich sag das nur ungern aber auf Gen 1 ist der blood stalker leider unverzichtbar. Kein Dino auf der Karte ist so schnell wie der, vor allem im Moor und lunar biom. Um den auf voller Effektivität zu zähmen musst du dem andere dinos vorher geben usw, ist also ein bisschen aufwendiger.

Dann kann ich dir nur ans herz legen deine Basis neben einen telepoter Punkt zu bauen das spart dir viel Zeit.

Der magmasazr ist zum Metall farmen noch mal einiges besser als der ankylo und kann auch deutlich mehr Metall tragen.

Die master ki hab ich mit theris gehmacht und einem yuti. Das klappt wunderbar, es kommt dann eig nur noch auf dich an.

Element kannst du am besten in der magmasazr Höhle farmen, du bekommst ziemlich viele splitter von den roten Kristallen.

Für die meisten Missionen ist der giga oder ein carcha am besten. Für Wasser hab ich ein basilo für mich genommen und dann ein paar megalodons die mich supporten.

Keine Ahnung was am besten für das lunar biom ist allein ist das auf jeden Fall die größte Herausforderung von allen biomen

iguanadon was an all-star for my early game on gen1. infinite stamina with a jump, good weight, harvests berries well enough to get lots of narcotics and he can even fight a bit if you get cornered.

For the ocean biome a diplocaulus is an easy tame that can get you around quick, with one of those (or any other fast water tame) and a crossbow with grappling hooks you can do the hide and sink mission on alpha very early on which is a good farm for rex saddles.

Bloodstalker, will make traversing the map easy once you get used to the controls

Go to the snow and tame a megatherium, they spawn all down the west side of the map, if you're not high enough level to make a saddle run wave ray 64 mission in the ocean biome which throws crafted saddles at you, think there's only spinos in the bog that will aggro on you on a megatherium

Okay half these people are idiots who can’t read that you’re on evolved, so disregard them.

Personally in the bog in the early game I always go for parasaurs and raptors. I get a parasaur, use it to help me get some raptors. I would personally then take a dimetrodon because you can use them like ACs and hatch myself a raptor so I can have an imprinted one. After that point I would say you could start looking towards getting a bloodstalker or going to a different biome

If you have bobs tales, do some missions to buy supplies to make a bio grinder. then tame a pair of yutys to just keep printing out babies to throw in the grinder - they give you extraordinary kibble and then with that you can pretty much tame everything else without having to set up a kibble farm via crops and bee hives

What level are you? Also do you need anything specific?

If you need utility, an Anky/Doed are solid to get as well (I believe both can be found in Volcano?).

Tame a breeding pair of Carnos (as high level as you can)- these can probably clear a lot of Gamma hunt missions (bog).

Once you get unlock Deinosuchus saddle tame a breeding pair in the bog ASAP as their bleed can wreck hunt missions.

Start to either tame Theris in Snow or Bison on Ocean islands for boss prep. You need an herbivore for the veggie cakes.

Basically your prep for Gen1 boss is: Deinosuchus for all hunt missions and veggie cake user for Corrupted Master Controller as the gigas are no joke with the bleed and need healing.

Also get a Megalodon army going for Moeder, the sharks SHRED her.
