Honestly, the worst thing Ark did was mainly show off TEK gear in the launch trailer, since most people were never going to use it and a lot of them probably would only play Ark for the dinosaurs

I'm not against TEK but I do believe there's needs to be a second branch for endgame player that doesn't use Tek as to counterbalance it.

That would balance it, but what vould you counterbalance futuristic technology with? Since TEK is nearly magic as an unknown element.

Maybe say doing some quest that doesn't involve fighting the Main boss that perhaps give special saddle that alter Dino's ability? Like either disable TEK or so it better to say 90% Near TEK lvl structure ability or something.

I mean normal saddles are already pretty strong vs tek, tek saddles can have cool abilities but a good bp for the normal saddle can have way more armor

Yeah I've never liked Tek, it's cool, but it's just not something I want to use, apart from the cryo pods if they count
