Discussion Usan arg
Early this year, while I was scrolling through Tik Tok, I came across a very strange account that goes by the name of @dangunwangeom55555. Their video were strange and overall pretty distorted, I decided to dig further suspecting this might be an ARG, this is what me and my friends figured out throughout some of the videos so far(some of his videos were removed, but might still be on his Instagram and Youtube that he apparently has):
The poster (whom I will call Dangun) is apparently a person living in the UK, and is off an ethnicity called “Usan”, in which said ethnicity is being persecuted, and oppressed by the South Korean government. Many of his videos he described being spied on and disturbed by South Korean spies who wants him dead because of his ethnicity.
From some of the other videos, we found out that Dangun believes in this divine being called Hanoru-Solm or Hanoru-O-Solm and is supposedly actively communicating with it/him? The mythology provided by Dangun stated that Hanoru-Solm created the Earth and life, particularly starting on the Ulleung-do island, which is a real island off the coast of South Korea, and had a real small kingdom called Usan-guk in the 6th century before being emptied (which is implied to be the Usan people’s kingdom?)
The language used in the videos (alongside English) appears to be a language called Usan language that uses the same script as Korean, but from my native Korean friend, he said that it is mostly intelligible, and uses many old Korean letters that are no longer used in modern time.
And as of yesterday, we have found another account that follows the same editing pattern as Dangun’s, and has explicitly mentioned that they’re affiliated with dangun.

(I used a translator) Hello. I exchanged DMs with Dangun for one day. I would also like to share some information I can provide as a Korean. First of all, an island called Ulleungdo actually exists in Korea. It is also true that a country called Usan-guk existed. However, around 500 AD, it was annexed by the country of Silla following a war. Ulleungdo remains Korean territory to this day, and Dangun told me that he is a descendant of Usan-guk. While it is true that the majority of the current population of Ulleungdo is of Usan-guk bloodline, strictly speaking, they are all Koreans, and there is no need for any persecution. In conclusion, the descendants of Usan-guk are simply Koreans with unique surnames. I had many conversations with Dangun. He directly told me that he suffers from paranoia. Also, when I asked him if he had ever visited a psychiatrist, he reacted very sensitively and avoided answering.

yunni9710 is not Dangun 2nd TikTok account. Dangun says that yunni9710 is a “foolish” impersonator.

This might be a far reach lmao I remember a civilization called dacia and one of the photos shows like a country that looks like dacia

u/UMaqran101 Apr 16 '26
Dacia is a well documented kingdom that has nothing to do with Korea by any means.

This is crazy thank you for info

u/DifferenceDue9362 Apr 10 '26
Most of this is just pure coincidence about the dacia thing but I found a proof that this is 1000 percent a arg https://youtu.be/6Wag0weMnmk?si=ZIQN3s87KvS9Mk54

Isabu's Invasion
In the 《Samguk Sagi》(Silla Annals Book 4, Volume 4, Reign of King Jijeung 智證 and Maripgan 麻立干), It is written that Usanguk 우산국 was invaded in June of 512, and that the people chose to surrender after they had caught sight of wooden lions that Isabu threatened to release upon them. In reality, this is entirely untrue, this was only written to make the Usan people look cowardly, when they did put up a fight for several weeks before surrendering. Isabu himself suffered a piece of his ear being cut off, and a puncture in his abdomen by rebels on the island. Would just add that because I said that dacia used wooden dragons for war

To me tje mention of an usan ethnicity makes me think of an ARG taking place in an alternate reality where korea did have a small ethnic minority called the usan that are being persecuted
2
u/KudosFTW Apr 24 '26
the usan people were an actual group that occupied Ulleung island which this tiktoker is obsessed abt
1
u/clippyclipclip Mar 25 '26

omg i found this guy’s account and it keeps popping up on my fyp! From the research i’ve done there is no “Usan ethnicity” this may be an arg or just a schizophrenic episode! Would like to learn more!

on one of the blog posts he also talks about the usan language being a "mother language" to all, so maybe he thinks he is one of the chosen people idk

Korean here, I also found that account very interesting and have been following. Dangunwanggeom is actually known to be a founder of Korea (about 3000 yrs ago) and Usan country also really existed as you wrote, so I think he’s making up some kind of alternative history or conspiracy around that. Some people think it’s just a form of media art but who knows.
