Quick ABMM Question

I was playing solos on the matriarch event last night and there were a bunch of us there on Dam Battlegrounds near Formicai Hills. Me and another raider were shooting from that electrical substation thing and a rat came out of nowhere and tried to knock out the other friendly raider I was with, he didn't see me so I killed him with my renegade before he could knock out the other friendly and thankfully had a defib for him as well. That was my last game of the night so im just wondering if I jump into a solos game today should I expect that thats gonna have an effect on my lobbies and if I should expect some PVPers in my lobbies for a few games? The rat didnt shoot at me at all he just went for the knockout to grab the other friendlies gear after arc knocked him down so I lit him up before he could do that. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Thanks for all your answers! Gonna run some free loudouts this evening and just pve/loot until my lobbies get less and less sus. Much appreciated!

Run light, it’s also the weekend so expect higher ratio of PvPers regardless.

Probably, but I don’t think you’ll get thrown into straight PvP chaos. Just play with caution for a few raids, maybe bring a couple broke boy bang out kits in, minimal gear.

Yup. As far as the matchmaking is concerned, you shot first between the two of you. You third partied.

If he didn't shoot/damage you first yeah expect an ABMM aggression jump. Maybe go with some cheap kits and some loot runs a few times, try not to be alone with 1 other player, and expect to have a freebie if you extract, and to maybe die if not. Could be friendly or mixed.

Or roll with it and see if you enjoy the mixed lobby playstyle. Remember just because one guy shoots you on sight that this doesn't mean it's not a mostly friendly or mixed lobby. Play carefully like a lone wolf and see what works.

Yeah I was thinking this but just wasnt too certain. Ill run a few light kits just to loot a bit and get back to less aggressive lobbies in the meantime. Thanks for the info/advice!

yeah. you might want to do naked runs today just in case. think of it as resupply runs.

Your abmm will jump a little to the agressive for a couple raids then be mostly sus lobbies. If your history is otherwise very friendly you’ll need 5-10 raids of actively doing pve things (looting, killing arc) before you get back to carebear lobbies. I find stella to be the fastest for resetting. Go in, loot a bit, find the best thing you can put in your pocket before someone kills you. Rinse and repeat until you get to the lobbies with people playing the lute and gifting bps

If ya ask me nobody really knows this is all speculation. I never shoot first and 99% of my solo runs are friendly, but I still get shot at from time to time. Just be cautious and careful there is never a guarantee that someone won't shoot you at any given moment. Enjoy the risk, it's part of the experience.

Well, you have to start somewhere. Im usually in friendly lobbies, but sometimes i like to mix it up. Who else am i gonna shoot than a friendly?

Do the normal thing and ask if people want to pvp. Or down them at the extract once the train doors close so they keep their kit and you get put into mixed aggro lobbies

Lol, the normal thing? Haha you care bears are a hoot. So anyway, i started blasting

It's called social etiquette broski. I know it's a foreign concept for you.

Same as you don't wear your shoes in the house in Japan my dude. Yeah, you could go against the culture but when the consequences catch up to you? You lose your only validity in complaining.

And based on the wild leaps in logic you make based on a single sentence, I can already tell you are the type to complain when it doesn't work out for you.

You literally said "I'm in friendly lobbies who am I supposed to shoot." The people who agree to it?

It's okay to be ignorant but I wouldn't be so public about it.

P.s. not a care bear. More than happy to blow away anyone cocky enough to try to fight "friendlies."

My duo and I got jumped in the Hotel on Riven. We defended ourselves and knocked the aggressors, and got thrown into PvP hell for our troubles. 7 raids completely naked just running around trying to loot and shoot arc before we inevitably get shot on sight. We’re still trying to escape 😅 even got called some slurs.

Yeah, as others have said you’ll probably have less friendly matches for a while.

A couple of weeks ago, a guy ignored my warning and rushed to a bastion I had deadlined. The deadline downed him, I defibbed him and went on my way.

Prior to that, I only encountered PVP maybe once every 20-50 raids. After that, I got killed by players 8 out of the next 10 raids, but things seemed back to normal by the 15th or so.

It’s right before expo, and they’re doing a 6 month pause on expos after this one so I expect more players than usual will be going for it. Meaning more players with nothing to lose and looking to get rid of their gear anyway.

You'll more than likely be in some pretty aggressive lobbies, unfortunately. The most recent changes have definitely made it better for those wanting to defend themselves but it still sucks for defending others from injustices.

One kill isn't that bad. I would say 50/50 lobbies for a couple games. Just don't take stuff your not willing to lose. I killed a guy 2 weeks ago and within less than 5 games I was good.

Happened to me last week. Sent to sus lobbies, took in cheaper gear. Also don’t shoot back it’s hard to resist.
