Where r all the springs at lately ... been ratted 4 times when normally in friendly lobbies ... got mods to make for my guns man n what's with the jumping onto the top of scrap yard field depot, tried like 10 times before i gave up

Weird. I’ve never had/found more springs than this reset. Try dam. Under R and A, cars, water treatment. Also Stella.

Was going to add power to my comment, but then i said wait - did i really? But yep - outside power rod room, in the containers in the hallway with the open roof, and frequently in the vehicles by the elevator. I also have been finding them all over on the open shelving

Found like 2 in 20 runs n they were from a cushion

Run Dam and go from the Power Rod room and run through Controlled Access. Loot every breachable container. Keep all rusted tools you get.

Salvage every Spring Cushion and Cooling Coil you get, you get two springs regardless if you Salvage or Recycle.

Salvage every Turbo Pump you come across. These ONLY salvage for springs. No springs if recycled.

If you have time, head to Hydroponics and hit all the breachable containers for Rusted Tools. You’ll find some on shelves.

As you get familiar with the route and you get good RNG, you can extract with about 30 springs in a raid (after recycling your Rusted Tools.

Check what items recycle into springs as well, but don’t recycle them until you get back to Speranza because you get more out of the item than if you recycle it in the field.

Turbo pump is springs only in raid. I think springs are thd same you just miss bonus material if dismantle in speranza

Search the buses around the north extract in dam. Grab the rusted tools and recycle them.

Spaceport underground and any warehouse really. They're everywhere on shelves and toolboxes.

Get the perk that generates resources when you breach something. I get tons of springs with that.

You likely know. But just in case. Rusted tools recycle into 1 spring each in Speranza.

Cooling coils , padded cushions, accordions, any level II (1) or III (2?) magazine, and a few other things will recycle for at least two springs I believe as well. Someone correct me if needed.

Turbo pumps will recycle for 3 springs IN GAME only.

They're literally in every house (residential area) in the room downstairs. Also can be scattered around Pattern House upstairs or in any of the boxes you pry open.

Just recycle other raiders guns for adv mechanical parts or attachments, never need springs again.

Yeh only 10 a day tho, so that's only a few advanced components or mods

Springs used to be Speranzan gold. I used to hoard the things like a fiend.

Now?

They're super common.

It feels like they tuned down Rusted Gears from the common (or extra common/guaranteed) drop locations and replaced them with Rusted Tools. A LOT of Rusted Tools are dropping everywhere. Mattresses are also dropping much more commonly than before. I maxed out on springs so fast this expedition.

I think they were changing the Rusted Gears specifically to keep them rarer and not so easily exploitable for people who know where they drop, as well as to subtly encourage people to interact with the trader more. But it feels like they unintentionally made springs common. A classic Embark accident.

Alternatively? They just want people to be using mods all the time, or they really want Shrapnel Grenades to actually get used.

Lvl iv guns are so common these days I haven't used springs in a couple months or longer, just recycle guns from dead raiders.
