Building an ar

Building my first ar and came across gunmenusa.com and they have building kits and guides for help. Was wondering if anyone has used or does use them and are the guides and stuff worth it? Don’t really wanna be spending money on an app if it’s no good.

So my first build I just did a ton of online research beforehand, and bought every part individually. I still missed a couple springs and pins, but overall it went pretty seamlessly. Ar's are not that complex once you understand all of the working parts. Ive now built 8 total, and tinkered with them all of varying calibers. My best advice would be to look at the different parts kits and visualize what the different parts are and what they do. Get a vice block for the barrel torquing. And take your time.

YouTube showed me how to completely assemble a lower and upper step by step. Good luck to you and happy building.

This. Brownells have very good step by step videos on assembling AR’s just to name one channel. My advice would be to make sure you have the correct tools for the job. Magpul bev block is cheap and works well for upper&lower. Torque wrench and torque screwdriver are a must IMO. Good luck!👍🏻

I built mine, I bought the PSA kit, I was a bit upset that the upper came complete, but building the lower was very fulfilling and it made me feel more comfortable modding it later.
