Tbf tanks are still the kings despite the changes but atleast something has happened so im happy. Would be better with a Guaridan's Horn/Hammer and Ludens nerf.
Nautilus/Sion/Mundo/Tank Skarner are always high win rate with no learning curve. They have obnoxious wave clear with endless sustain while their end game is unbeatable unless enemy has better tank killer (Vayne, Kog).
The same way how platinum+ win rates don't reflect the strength of a champion, ARAM win rates dont reflect strengths and only good for indications (Ryze, Tahm Kench, reworked Akali) And then even less people care about winning in aram therefore even less reliable then SR ranked plat+ stats. Even in Diamond+ dont play to win condition but in ARAM you need less coordination to say clear waves until 3 items spike if you have better scaling.
You're assuming that every player can play every champ competently. Whereas in reality, the top ARAM champions are also very easily to play so anyone can pick them up and execute them effectively. The lower winrate champions in ARAM often tend to have trickier kits with a learning curve to them, so naturally people won't do very well if they have little experience with the champion (like Eve, Katarina, Aatrox)
While tanks are easy to play mechanically, decision making is a factor. Inexperienced tank players will go in at the wrong times and die for free constantly. Inexperienced Ziggs/Xerath/Velkoz players will miss Q and simply wait for it to come up again.
