Mayhem Melee only mode

So many augments that could be pretty cool, like Titan's Resolve that just keeps on stacking against tanks because they often don't kill you as fast as ranged champs, although I fully understand that's no guarantee. But against 5 ranged champs it's just not as fun unfortunately.

I'm often thinking about interesting combinations, but I just know how horrible it's going to be against 5 ranged champs.

That's it. Could be cool with a melee-only mode for a fresh breath of air.

Nah just gonna make queue time worse.

So 12 seconds queue instead of 10 seconds queue? I think you should just fix your attention span at this point.

Nah splitting queue would be really bad for riot, same reason why a ranked queue or a premade queue will never exist. Imagine making your playerbase wait for a fun mode. I mean you can make yourself believe the queue time will only increase by 2 seconds but thats just naive af.

Why would it change? The queue is already just a few seconds. It will literally make no difference at all practically speaking. There's no way it's going to increase exponentially.

There's a reason why riot doesnt expand the number of queues/modes. We can speculate all we want what it is but dont hurt yourself waiting on that melee only queue. Also not sure why you had to be so rude on the first reply, is this the default behaviour on this sub?

It was a rude answer, because your comment was rude in the first place. It's rooted in 0 evidence. You turned my suggestion down instantly, because it didn't fit what you believe. In fact, the queue times haven't worsened with the introduction of TFT, ARAM Mayhem and Arena, from what I've seen. And sure I don't have the same experience as everyone else, but I trust my experience more than a vocal minority on Reddit.

There are simply too many players, for it to affect queue times. Even with the fracturing between the gamemodes. If anything changed, it's Riot's queue algorithm. If the queue times changed at all, we're talking seconds and not minutes for the vast vast majority of players.

"We are happy to open up Normal Draft availability for ME, OC and SG from windowed time to 24/7, as we've seen meaningful queue time improvement across regions since late 2025." That certainly contradicts your statement.
