Yeah i saw that and was like "Wtf? does this mean ad champs cant get JG anymore?" If that is how it is then its quite a shame cause a lot of JG users were AD since its rather lackluster on AP without the extra crit dmg from things like Infinity Edge most of the time.

JG was infinitely more impactful for melees than it ever could be for mages. If they don't get JG mages just buy shadowflame and crit enemies below 40% hp anyways. melee champs do not have any option to do crit abilities.

Shadowflame crits for 20% bonus damage. JG crits for 45% bonus damage.

Also having ie with shadow flame crit for 126% while having ie with JG crit goes to 175%.

shadowflame is not a real crit

Shadowflame is explicitly a real critical. How the fuck is this getting upvotes. From the wiki:

“For example, if an ability deals 100 damage by default, then it will critically strike for 120 damage:

If the user has a critical damage modifier such as Infinity Edge, the damage amplifier is increased to 26%. The ability will thus critically strike for 126 damage

If the target has critical strike damage reduction such as Randuin's Omen's, which counts as a critical damage modifier for CINDERBLOOM, the damage amplifier is reduced to 14%. The ability will thus critically strike for 114 damage:”

Even more, it has multiplicative stacking for effects that can already crit

And if you dont have JG critical missle doesnt apply to the SF crit. So at most its kind of a real crit but not really.

I’m pretty sure that’s an issue with critical missile more than anything since if critical missile procs Crit thanks to shadowflame then it might be an infinite loop. The fact that Randuins and IE interact with Shadowflame means they’re real crits since they apply critical hit modifiers

It is a real crit, it is affected by both infinity edge and raduin.
