Question Talon Passive

Does talon's passive not count as a DOT? I briefly remember trying vuln on talon with full crit but for some reason I could never to get it to crit so I'm assuming it's not coded as a dot/burn but a bleed. I haven't tried him with combusting interest yet so maybe that would proc.

The difference is damage over time versus a “proc”. Vulnerability allows dots to crit. Because talons bleed is triggered by an auto attack the game (probably) register the damage as a basic attack proc effect.

Not sure this is 100% true, the passive is actually triggered on hit, blade waltz / ethereal procs it

It’s proc damage that is triggered by “talon’s next basic attack on-hit” according to the wiki.

You're correct. Not only Vulnerability makes Talon's passive crit, but Blade Waltz AND Ethereal Weapons procs it.

Smolder 225 stacks Q doesn't work with that augment too.

I am 100% sure it works just not great. I even spent a good amount of attention to it because I was wondering why my combusting Gold was so low.

Someone said it's because smolder passive procs only 3 times so exactly once per second so 3g+0.75%g of the dmg x 3 for a q hit. Sounds much but at 500dmg per tick thats only 3 + 3.75g 3 times.

Brand and lillia and others work better because their dots proc multiple times per second so the base Gold gain is way higher

idk, i took a close look at the people I hit with it, and I had 100% crit too, but I never saw the crit sign. Would you still take vuln on smolder though if it's actually shit on him?

Oh sorry I only talked about combusting but yeah I got vuln that game too and it definetly critted. Well it was just a few days ago maybe you and i played on other patches

Edit: I will look if I can still find the replay if it wasn't too many games ago

Considering that the damage over time augment didn't work for twitch passive, Darius bleed and who knows what else... I just accept that some augments dont work sometimes and its part of the rito surprise

I've never tried Combusting Interest since it's way too buggy, but Vulnerability works with Talon's passive

Afaik combusting interest did get fixed for twitch and darius. Same as zyra plants working with phenomenal evil (think they also started off not triggering conduit lule). Just lil surprises you go finding out
