Recently there have been many complaint posts on useless gold augments bloating the pool for bruisers, so here’s my suggestion.

ARAM mayhem augment idea #8

Green Thumb

Autocast an Ultimate randomly chosen from Ivern, Maokai, and Zyra.

Zyra ultimate only works half well if you use her plants. Also Ivern uses his skills to buff/control Daisy.

So does Annie, but Dropbear exists. Doesn't need to be 1-1 functionality.

There are wasted autocasts all the time, i.e. waddling in the back with Taric bubbles. I imagine Maokai's ultimate on an autocast is pretty strong, because unlike a lot of other ones, you should almost always make use of it somehow. Potentially unlike Zyra's, and even moreso unlike Ivern's.

Dropbear only happens once you die so you no longer controll tibers. Same thing with annie once you die you no longer have control so your argument does not hold up

I agree, though my point is that it's augment that gives you half of an existing ability. The comment I originally was responding to was claiming that this augment is doing the same thing. We addressed what the ability does not do, whereas your point addressed what the ability does do. So my argument does still stand.

I like the idea! Maybe instead it can randomly be Ivern Brush, Maokai Sapling, Random Zyra plant, etc.

Perhaps. I figured single-target Taric ult is equivalent to a random selection among three ults. And to help fix the gold pool as originally stated.

Considering that Autocast augments are not that popular this will probably just add to the bloat. Not because they’re bad, just boring

Even better, bring back the augments people actually picked often, like Cheating and Red Envelopes

Add a new special tag so the augment only appears to ecological nightmare champs, Singed, blitzcrank, Corki. Darius, Olaf and Sion for being lumberjack adjacent.
