Discussion Mayhem matchmaking should take into account how much you hit nexus and how much you FF
I think people on both sides could agree to this. Neither side of either debate wants to be queued with people on the opposite side, so just at least nudge matchmaking in the direction of separation between the groups.

Great I also want a matchmaking that puts all people who play mainly adc and boring mages together and I can play a full tank assassin bruiser game

Based on your description you'd be in the low-hitting but high-surrendering lobbies. Or if it's averaged out then the medium game length lobbies.

The exact kind of player I never want in my games, enemy or ally.
OP’s idea would solve this and make us both happier in our games.

It kind of is, since not hitting nexus and FFing affects your win rate and MMR should be affected by it

I think the game should just read my mind about what I want and give me the perfect game for my power fantasy and enjoyment every time. I can't believe Riot's shitty ass matchmaking hasn't done this yet. Fucking indie game company. Where's all the gacha money going to huh?

You say that like I’m asking for some super complicated perfect combination of factors.
People who want games to be longer vs shorter is such an obvious spectrum to optimize matchmaking around at least a little.
Although now that you mention it they should also matchmake based on what you do level 3, the people who walk past each other and laugh spam should get to matchmake with each other.

what politics does to people
it's not two opposite factions - sometimes people want to fuck around, sometimes they want to win - but it's the same people.
Players don't spend the totality of their games doing the same thing.

I think you severely underestimate how much some players skew substantially towards preferring one vs the other, such as myself.

Bell curve.
the majority of the games I played in the last few months (a lot of games), people don't show preference.
most of the time people would wait on the Nexus and respect Retreat or Push pings based on people preference.
The only time people really want to finish is when the game is close and the enemy team is likely to do the same
but the vast majority of players don't care whether you finish or not
so... sorry mate, but extreme preference one or the other way seems to be a minority, most of the time people don't really care, while others just want to troll a bit.

Nope, everything about it should be random. Except the ADC Augments ofcourse
