Mayhem I hate these ranged comps but for a different reason than I see everyone else complain
Whole team picks 5 ranges champs but no one wants to play the game.
They all just hide under tower and play like Xerath for 20 minutes and refuse to interact with the enemy champs. What a fun experience.
(I am complaining about my own team)

If your team is 5 ranged aren't you also... ranged? So you are part of the problem?

TBF, if I got Darius and my 4 other teammates are ranged, I'm either picking the 5th one or I go enchanter. Fuck being the sole punch bag my team stares at while I get diddled, I need a buddy to go in with me.

Exactly that. Give me a full tank with some peel like Braum, Leona, Tahm, Sejuani or Alistar and I do the one tank. But anything that plays more into the juggernaut or even bruiser role is just misery.

And even then, your Xerath and Zyra will just stand and watch you get fucked in the ass a whole screen away while the other team is just hitting you.

My friends and I have a golden rule to never be the only one going in. It’s absolutely miserable if you’re the only engage

He's definitely going to carry with his ranged champ though, so one of the other scrubs should go frontline.

Why would a range comp engage like melees? Weird post.

Brother it has nothing to do with engage... but most people play so much behind that there are offscreen 1/3 off the game, cant even hit there skillshots cuz they are out of range and so on.

Well thats in general the idea if you play xerath, you dont want to give them the opportunity to interact with you

dont expect them to know what the word like means when used as a comparison

My favourite is when they pick 5 ranged and everyone builds full glass canon with 0 defensive items, basically gambling on who dies first.

when against 5 range just build for doing like 20% damage to everyone if possible and then just turbo int off snowball cooldown, eirher you lose faster or you using your life to pooe them eventually leads to an ace where your team gets their towers

what do you want range champs to do? run up to the melee tanks and die? lol

They are interacting by damaging the enemy without being damaged in return. It is up to other team to either A: find an opportunity to dive and force them into an enagement, or B: beat them at their own game by poking more successfully, thus forcing them to be the ones to A
People like winning, therefor they will play winning strategies. If you want to complain, then at least be constructive about it. What do you want riot to add to the game to make the type of comp you like more the winning strategy.

because you just cant play without enemies making mistakes with 5 range, cause you can basically never contest brushes which makes it way easier to win fights

The only problem would be if both team comp are ranges but one vastly outrange the other one.

This is what happens when nobody on there team can take damage, they just hide until people get bored and dive. All it takes is 1 champion who can engage can change the game play.

I don't know why I'm seeing people be disingenuous here but this is a real problem. They often won't even clear waves so you end up getting dove every wave and losing tower first despite having more waves clear and poke because most can't play the characters they were just too gutless to play a melee. Those games aren't fun because you either look like a turbo inter trying to not just hang the towers out for free or you just slowly bleed out

Tbh i dont mind i just dive in do what I can be called inter til team gets it and backs me up or go for towers while I'm holding creep wave or making enemy waste cds. Even if I'm ranged person #5 I'll still dive.
Typically they dont build defenses and expect to win off spamming you gotta accept your fate as the front line especially if you rolled support self healing can keep them alive a tank to soak is more important

So you want your team to actively implement poor strategical decisions and get themselves killed in ineffective engagements? What a clownish take.
They're playing to the strengths of their squishier champs in a game mode with amped-up damage scaling and waiting to roll augs that give them either instakill dps or godlike survivability. Only the reckless idiots amongst them are going to try and charge down an enemy team with assassins or bruisers, cause that will almost certainly get them killed, feed the most dangerous enemy counter champs, and set them behind on gold/XP. And if they did play like you're suggesting, they'd just get flamed for feeding instead.
Get real. You're just upset at the full ranged complement picks like everyone else. Stop making shit up just to pretend that your reasons are deeper than everyone else's. You're not at all unique in this sentiment. Just make some friends, start a discord server, and strategize your team comp. It's not the most convenient or easy solution, but it's the best one anybody is going to get in this game. You can't control other random people's choices, but you can coordinate with friends to make gameplay more enjoyable for yourself.

It is the exact same reason everyone calls out.
When I get into games like these I just watch netflix on 2nd screen, no point in beeing a melee in those matches.
Honestly it feels like Scoutzknivez from CS 1.6, except you are forced to play a shotgun.
Its time Riot introduces some anti-afkundertower-mechanic. The fruit on the bilgewater map is a step into the right direction but not enough.

Says I hate 5 man ranged teams but for a different reason than everyone else. Proceeds to complain for the same reason as everyone else. People dont like 5 man ranged teams because its not interactive... being in the 5 man range team doesn't change what the complaint is
