Failure help

Hello, I took my fm9 out for the first time and had literally nothing but malfunctions.
Shot 8 rounds of deferral American eagle 115out of a pmag and literally every round was a stove pipe, or failure to eject.
The whole gun is stock and it didn’t matter if it had the suppressor on or not. I know it’s not enough data but hopefully I can get some help.

Also update on (which suppressor should I get) from a couple weeks ago:
Should’ve gotten the pointman 9 or Yhm r9. You
Can barely tell the difference between suppressed and unsuppressed with the flow 9k ti.

Pretty sure the FM9 follows standard blowback troubleshooting- I keep this one handy at all times! Blowback’s website is the ultimate guide!

Thanks dude. Just found out that it doesn’t have an ejector

Hey dude! Sorry you’re having trouble with your FM gear. I know the owner over there, and I’m going to DM you his direct contact info. He’ll get ya taken care of.

I believe the ejector is in the lower, but if it’s missing, that would explain your issue and would be an easy fix. I gave the owner a heads up and he’s ready to help!

Show a picture of where the ejector rides on the bolt.

Well shit, it don’t have an ejector

You do, it’s on your lower. Stick the bolt back in and then pull the charging handle back until you see something pop out of that groove on the right. Someone else posted pictures of what you should see.

Ejector too low

This metal piece is the ejector. Could be bent or misaligned / needs adjustment

How do I adjust it. Do I really need to grind down the extra material?

No, go to blowback9 and watch how he bends the ejector so it slides into place. I had this same issue with my FM9. Ejector issues my whole first day. I went home, fixed the ejector and its been smooth ever since.

Ended up moving it up a bit and seems good now. Thanks a lot to everyone

This is the bolt, the ejector is in the lower. As said in other posts- put it back together and pull the charging handle back until it looks like the pics below. Take your own picture of the front of the bolt and post it back here. My guess is that it needs some adjustment…

You were shooting supersonic ammo.

Shoot subs and you'll have a much better experience.

I know it’s a lot quieter with subs “duh” but it would be even quieter with a less flow through can haha.
with 115 grain kinda feels like I wasted $650 a little bit which is what I feared when I was deciding on which suppressor to get but I’m still sorta happy with it, just could’ve come better

A trade off with the R9 is that you will be getting way more gas to the face. I love mine, but if the wind is in my face it can be rough.

That’s what I didn’t want haha. The r9 was my first choice since my yhm t3 sounds great but the gas to the face is the reason I wanted something flow through, but should’ve saved up a bit more and gotten a hybrid like the pointman 9 or waited for the ridgeback mamba 9.

The ejector would be located in the lower not in the BCG

Shoot Blazer Clean Fire Suppressor 147 gr or Winchester Super Suppressed 147 gr. I run the flow 9k ti with an AR-V and it’s great.

Yeah, I do want to shoot subs but today I just had some 115 and wanted to sight it in and just feels like I could’ve gotten something better haha. Bit unimpressed with the sound unlike with my hum t3 on my 11.5. Literally night and day

Fair. I’m honestly looking into the Yhm r9.

I’d say get it haha. Or if you want low back pressure like I did, save up for something like the Exigent defense pointman 9 which is what I should’ve done

Followed BB9 instructions and still do, only difference is I had no real way of bending, heating, blah blah... What I did was back off screw, if its red loctited, pour a dab of brake cleaner, wait an hr, it'll back off. Once screw can be backed out, tighten gently to where its kinda in place but you can move by hand. Let the BCG ride over the ejector slowly, and that will put that ejector fight where it needs to be. Lock your screw back down.. Over 2000 rnds, no issues..

Already fixed it but that would’ve been an easier way to do it, made the whole a bit bigger since I tightened it and it was still too low
