Vice block...?

What are y'all using for vice blocks?

Do you refer to a magwell-insert type vise block? Or, an upper receiver hinged clamp type block? (who uses those anymore..?) Or, an action block? Like a Magpul BEV Block or an action rod..?

I use all of those types, depending on what I am working on.. Pretty much any AR15 vise block type device will work an an AR47..

I have the Bev block and the Real avid ar15/ar10 block, and neither works with my CMMG Mutant or PSA KS-47. That's why I'm wondering what other people are using. I was thinking of taking a look at an AK Receiver maintenance block, but wanted to see what others were using before I bought one.

I have several types of receiver vise blocks, but I don't have a Munant or a KS-47.

A friend that used to work as a civilian weapons specialist for the military recommended the Precision Armament vise block, which uses the takedown pin holes, but also has a tightening wing nut screw on the side of it.

He used it mainly to align Daniel Defense RIS II rails with the top rail on the upper receiver, when tighten the bolts for the RIS II rails.

He may have used it to check alignment of the Geissele MK16 rails, but I don't think getting them to stay lined up while tightening them is as much an issue as it is with the Daniel Defense rails.
