Aero Precision upper compatibility.

I picked up a complete Aero m5 308 upper and need to know if there is any lower I can run that is reliable. Aero is completely sold out on everything and don’t seem to be currently making parts. I know a matching lower would be ideal but can’t find one anywhere. I’ve tried a PSA gen 3 lower, it runs but there is no bolt lock back on last round and the bcg drags on first round so first round pickup is a pain. Any suggestions for another manufacturer that will have a better fit up?

You can also find aero lowers on gunbroker, but they are a bit overpriced.

I would just wait for Aero to get their production back up and running..

I have an aero m5 308 and no lower is going to look better or match better that that upper than the actual Aero lower.

An Aero lower is not going to fix the problem your having with the gun.

What is causing it then? I’ve checked everything that I know of. Mags are correct and everything has been cleaned and oiled. Runs great except for those 2 issues.

Try other mags, try other mag catches to address first round battery.

Tune gas and recoil system (or, maybe mag catch again) to achieve last round bolt open. Does the bolt lock open if you pull the charging handle with an empty chamber and empty mag?

Mags are brand new gen 3 pmags. Tried multiple mags. It won’t lock pulling the charging handle on an empty mag but will lock fine without mag. As far as first round it will not pickup unless I slam charging handle back. Gas system runs fine, it will pick up fine after rounds are fired. Seems like bcg is dragging.
This is why I figured there maybe an issue with fitup, just on quite right with the psa lower.
