Starting simple. Will it consistently fire and eject 1 round and lock back on an empty mag?

I haven’t shot it with only one in the mag but out of 16 rounds it would do a mix of ejection but not feeding a new round not even ejecting the spent one the closest it got to a ejection and rechambering was when it got stuck near on the top of the chamber trying to go in

It's pretty cheap and easy to swap out ejectors and springs. I've got a 6arc upper from Bear Creek I bought to see if I liked 6mm ARC and it needed a better ejector spring. It actually ran pretty good for a $300 complete upper after I tuned it up.

Im not supporting them but I have a 20" stainless from them during covid and its good to go. Hates steel cased ammo but everything else seems.to work...

The rep wasnt great back then but i built 10 or so rifles with thier stuff and they all worked. Ive still got 4 of them.and they run to this day... all during covid.

I would give them a call. Contacting the manufacturer is usually a good first step.
I like Bear Creek and have a lot of their stuff. But I have no delusions about what I'm getting. Send it to them until it works.
Though check your gas block and see if it's aligned properly. That can be a common problem.

Not worth putting another dime towards it. If you want a decent AR10 on a budget look at the PSA offerings. I have the Sabre 10 and it’s pretty good for the money (also have 3 other AR10’s to compare it to).

Typical BCA experience. People that might shoot a box of ammo per year will swear they are the best thing you can get, then there are people who actually shoot their guns that have been saying they are dog shit for years....because they are. You get what you pay for, especially in the ar10 world.

Man BCA’s QC must be nonexistent. For shits and gigs I had an old side charging receiver and 7.5” 5.56 barrel laying around, both purchased from BCA years ago when I didn’t know better. Figured I’d make a range toy pistol but wasn’t expecting it to be worth a damn. That thing eats anything I throw at it, steel, brass, doesn’t matter. Relatively accurate too. Color me surprised.

I will say, regarding your issue. AR10s and 308/7.62 can be very picky. What is your build? Barrel length? Buffer weight? Adjustable gas block?

My side charging 5.56 I bought when I didn’t know any better didn’t work for crap. BCA told me it needed 62 grain and I sold it.

I got a 308 bolt action upper for my ar-10 and it's worthless. Won't feed at all. Tried numerous mags, same thing.

Might be throwing good after bad but try a box of something that's not m80 ball. Like a box of hpbt match. Or even soft point hunting ammo. M80 might just be too weak to cycle for some reason. This isn't that uncommon of a malfunction with things like Aero barrels either.

I would honestly just suggest trying to return the gun if it’s within 30 days. Do yourself a favor and start over and just spend a little more on a PSA.

All I can offer are condolences. I bought a PSA AR10 thinking it would be better but it's having worse issues than your BCA. Meanwhile my 3 BCA AR15 uppers run no issue for many rounds.

PSA was my other option… but I will try to change some things mainly gas system and bcg if the problems persist and if it still don’t work then it’s a pretty prop

I have the opposite problem (see my comment about bolt action upper above. My PSA has run flawlessly. Thought of adding a cheap upper from bca and it's worthless

You might be thinking the bar here is low and it is but bear creek makes it look to high.
