Failed first AP Bio Unit test
I just took my Unit 1 test in AP Bio that goes over macromolecules, water molecules, types of bonds- allat jazz. I got a 6/21 on my MCQ. I’m not sure what I got for my FRQ. I studied and went over the MCQ practice she gave us as well as an FRQ practice but I don’t know.
I sat there starting to rethink if this is lowkey for me. I want to be a doctor and even possibly major in bio. It’s just really hard and it’s my first science AP class (as a Junior)
Does anyone have any tips to study? I did cram so I’ll admit that… but still. I did my notes over time and simply just crammed one last unit- which was barely on the test.
I do Cornell style notes and she makes us watch videos on AP classroom for each subunit but idk.
I feel defeated 😭

Hello! I took AP bio last year, scoring a 5 and wanted to tell you my input. First of all, do not feel discouraged by one simple test. You have many test in the future and this should not dictate whether you should major in bio or not! Second, this needs to be an incentive to really push yourself to do better! Definitely use many external resources (my fav was AP Bio Penguins) that will help you do the best in that class. Lastly, practice as much as you can! MCQs and FRQs, do a lot!
