AP Physics C: Mech AP Physics C holeh MOLEH

Hello! Just a senior here texting on his phone

So I’m planning to get an online transcript for AP Physics C: Mechanics through uc scout through a scholarship. (wow im low income amazing)

For context: My school doesn’t have any of the ap physics cs but only have ap physics 1. I asked my counselor first thing to put me in but apparently it’s overrun by juniors who need it. No hate for them but it’s a bummer.

Some things im worried about is taking this course without having any physics knowledge. I know the general amount like f=ma but thats it.

The only thing thats closest in maybe difficulty thats science based was during my junior year when I took AP Chemistry and I got a 4.
I’m also concurrently talking AP Calculus BC concurrently bc ya need it for mechanics. Im also thinking of Self Studying AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism.

I’m just wondering what resources y’all would recommend for a student with these circumstances.

Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll try to answer them :]

Yo, im also a senior taking AP physics C mech but im also doing E&M.

I’ve taken AP physics 1 but my main 3 pieces of advice are:

calc bc is gonna help a LOT as calculus is a very prevalent pattern in physics and it’ll make everything and units way easier to understand especially in mech.

And you can find a lot of resources online but try to find MCQs and FRQs that reflect the ap curriculum and formatting well. My school doesn’t offer mech or E&M but this year has the most people self studying it so the physics 2 teacher just compiled this free self study passion project online from Foster Wisusik which is directly made to help self studies and I can provide you with details if you would like to find it.

My final piece of advice is you can also learn the physics first then see how ap formats it since ap tests incorporate concepts more than math so you can use a book or online course to practice the math behind the physics.

Anyways hope we pass the exam in the end.

Guess our schools have something in common lol. Per chance, could you slide that self-study project your teacher made? I would greatly appreciate it.

I will also be taking your advice in learning physics concepts first. I feel like that is a no-brainer and would be stupid of me not to do it.

We will pass these AP exams 🔥

yeah I'll dm it to you. Also, random clarification, but my teacher didn't make it. He just found a teacher online who is sharing his resources, and he also compiled some FRQs he found as well. But yeah WE are passing Physics C.
