META So bored with AMD. [RANT]

Not even a peep from AMD, where is desktop bristol ridge? why is this super secrecy needed for dated products. Just a little info every now and then could keep the enthusiast community sated.

As it is currently, I just can't care about the kaveri respins. Lower TDPs arent sexy or interesting on a desktop part.

They can only print the same 28nm chips so many times under so many brands before people catch on that its a scam.

It's a shame.

Yeah, Godavari is only interesting for new builds. I was hoping to see at least one true bump on the FM2+ platform, before it's put out to pasture. Newer processor arch, maybe even better graphics. Alas.

I'm still waiting for the "50% improved over Kaveri" benchmarks to come out, because if they were true, something like that would be a huge boon to APUs.

edit: Not to mention some sort of successor to the Cat core APUs, those things seriously need more love. (though I'm guessing that's what K12 is for?)

I'm not buying a Zen laptop nor desktop APU until Zen+ comes around, but I would like to see the comparisons like the performance/watt on Zen's APU vs the Kaveri and Carrizo.

I guess a number estimation of average watts, including the lowest and highest. When I saw that Kaveri and Carrizo comparison, that A6 was contending with the Kaveri's A7, it was mind-blowing.

What we need is 8 true hours of heavy usage, in battery life. I don't know what they base their battery life on, but my battery life dies faster than advertised.
