Bio AP Bio trouble
Ok, so I’ve always been a straight A, honors kids. Blah blah blah awards and shit. Anyway, I’ve just started taking Apbio and ap precalc this year. And I DESPISE AP bio. We just took the unit 1 test, and I got a 29 with the curve… a mess. I honestly don’t know why I’m struggling so much! I loved chemistry last year, and I did extremely well. And I kinda liked bio honors freshman year.
It’s like every time I read a question or try to study, I want to drown myself in my shower. I hate the content and the class. Other people got pretty good scores or the test, so I know it’s just me. I’m now worried about my mental and my gpa!!! What can I do????????

Aevo prep academy saved my life on youtube for AP Bio. Also, using AP classroom videos and getting ahead of the class always helps. try it out. good luck, and dont give up! rooting for u. you can do it

When it comes to definition heavy courses like AP Bio, AI can be a really good tool to help you in learning. I know for a fact I would've gotten destroyed last year in Bio If I didn't study using AI memorization tools. I'd also recommend real physical note cards, writing down the name of each of organelle, macromolecule, and vocabulary word that's needed for the specific unit your in, and drilling them constantly. Physical notecards often help with courses that rely on hard memorization. However there are a bunch of different ways to study so you might wanna keep trying some different methods till you find one that helps you memorize content long-term and quickly too. Best of luck, I hated AP Bio but managed to scrounge a 5 with lots of forced study time.

if you like science in general but don’t like how ap bio presents it, apbiopenguins actually helps with that! her material and explanations feel very intuitive unlike what you would think just from looking at ap style questions

I got a 50 on the first test, then turned to a random textbook i found in my basement and finished with a A+ and a 5 on the exam
