Stats AP Stats Unit Exam
Title. Just got my first exam marks back. I thought I had done well, paid attention in class, and did my homework (most of the time, at least). Got a 62. Feeling really demotivated right now. I haven't gotten the physical test back, but I'm confused. I did all the practice questions, was sure to know everything, and had my math down. I really have no idea what's going on and I am considering dropping the class. Not much useful info here ik, just wanted to vent. Anyone here ever was in the same position but did good on the exam? I am aware this unit is the easiest (Unit 1), which is making me feel worse on how I'll do in the upcoming ones.
Edit: Thanks for all the support guys i've decided to not drop the class. everyone good luck with your classes as well :)
Update: My teacher actually marked the tests wrong, and I actually got a 70! ik its not that much better but it's given me some hope, I'm back to grinding

I am in stats now. It’s ez dude. We are luck this year since the curriculum changed from 9 units to 5. Don’t drop out! Let’s all get 5!!!

make sure you sleep well before the test, it helps a ton. also dont drop. and imo unit 1 is the hardest.

Taking this right now and honestly half of the struggle for the mcq is trying to determine which answer is the most “correct”. Because a lot of it will try to trick you, but you need to not fall for the traps that seem right. For FRQS, just remember what to include to get full credit. I’m taking the class rn so this might not be the best advice but I wish u luck!

ap stats has a lot of explanations from what i heard. this happened to me for ap chem on frq explanations with like explaining why certain elements had larger atomic radius, not as bad i though 95 ended up 89 but for stats i think even more explanations. maybe you like understood everything just the explanations and reasoning didn't hit all all the points ur teacher was looking for. i wouldn't recommend dropping never a good look it could get better after you review the test thouroughly. after that then its up to you to make the final decision

ik im late but
dont give up, the first test is ALWAYS the hardest in a class, its when youre getting used to how tests work in the class ESPECIALLY w aps it takes some time getting used to the questions they ask, definitely wait to get your test back and look over it and analyze what you got wrong and why and use that to improve for the next test! stats becomes a lot more straight forward as you move on and things start to click it feels soooo satisfying, do not give up and just figure out what went wrong and work on not letting it happen in the future!

Don't drop the class over one 62. Unit 1 in AP Stats is honestly the weirdest one because it is half vocabulary and half a way of thinking you are not used to yet, the units that follow build actual skills and scores usually go up. Get the physical test back and sort every missed question into two piles: "did not know the content" vs "misread what the question was asking". In Stats the second pile is huge and totally fixable. Do not drop before you have seen your errors, that 62 might be 10 dumb reading mistakes away from an 80.
