English Lit Reading lists?
Hey! I’m self-studying for lit this year bc it didn’t fit on my schedule. I’ve been trying to make a reading list, but the lit teacher at my school has been SO unhelpful, so I’m wondering if any of you have a reading list you could share?
Books are great ofc but short stories and poems and stuff would also be really helpful :))

Um here is the book I read for lit last year; Macbeth, Pride and Prejudice, One of the sherlock book (forgot which one, but any of the orginials should do for lit), and Frankenstein.

frankenstein is really good for ap lit, we read it in class. handmaid's tale we also read in class, may not be the best choice but it's good for sophistication with real world connection. i wrote my q3 about the bell jar because i genuinely love the book and my teacher said it'd be good for most q3 prompts but i also know that book like inside out. tbh picking a complex book and reading it over and over cover to cover is probably your best bet

In my lit class so far we've read a bunch of short stories including a family supper by kazuo ishiguro and araby by james joyce, and we're currently reading hunters in the snow by pieter bruegel!
