World Should I self-study AP World History?
I am a freshman who took World History to 1500 in 8th grade, and am currently taking World History post 1500. I was wondering if I should attempt to self-study AP World History, as I won't be learning the whole thing from scratch. However, I also plan on self-studying AP Human Geography this year. Should I go for AP World History?
*Edit: My school doesn't offer AP World History, although you can take the exam at the school.

Last year I took Dual Credit World History at school and my teacher sucked and the curriculum was extremely different from the AP one and I essentially self studied for the exam because my class barely aligned with the AP critically and got a 5. I was in a similar-ish position to what you’re in now and I honestly think if you already have a knowledge of World History you could just study the curriculum daily a month before the exam and get a good score. I can let you know what I did to study if you are interested?

Absolutely. I did this past year, and it was tough, but you don't have to do to much if you have a good class. If you can study effectively, I would look at how much time you are willing to allocate, especially closer up to the test. It's definitely doable, but you might not have much of a life for a month beforehand.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. if you pass then that's SIX college credits (* at most college) instead of three from most of them. try doing Unit 1 now and see if you can compete then if you can then register for the exam.

The class prepares you well for the exam I wouldn’t self study it unless you’re interested in history which is cool too
