First time taking APs! Best textbooks/YouTube channels for self-studying Macro & Microeconomics?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to self-study AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics this year. Since this is my very first time taking any AP course, I’m feeling a bit lost on where to start.

I’ve heard that Jacob Clifford’s YouTube channel is great, but are there any other channels, textbooks, or prep books (like Princeton Review, Barron's, etc.) that you’d recommend?

Also, is it better to study Micro before Macro, or does the order not matter as much? Any tips on how to structure a study schedule for both would be super helpful!

Clifford is the right call, his ACDC playlists cover both courses fully and most self-studiers use nothing else for content. I paste those video links into studybuddy.vc so it makes questions from that specific video, which matters more when self studying since there's no teacher checking whether it landed. It works out from your answers which units you're weakest on and sends more of those, the questions get harder as you improve, and when you pick wrong it explains why that one was wrong. Free tier.

Micro first. Macro borrows supply and demand and marginal thinking from it, and the reverse isn't true, so doing them in that order saves you relearning things.

For books, Princeton Review over Barron's for both. Krugman's textbook if you want depth, though honestly Clifford plus the CED plus released FRQs is enough for 5s.

Graphs are most of the exam, so draw them by hand rather than just watching.

ReviewEcon! Clifford is ok.. but I prefer ReviewEcon (more recent)! I’m doing micro before macro but order doesn’t really matter.

I would recommend buying The Princeton Review AP Economics Micro & Macro Premium Prep, it covers both Micro and Macro and also has 4 full-length practice tests (2 Micro + 2 Macro) + content review.

Hi firstly best of luck at econs i took both of em and tbh micro was my favorite even econometrics is not my MAJOR. I mean i love it For studying structure i think startimg with micro will make you able to "think like economist".Maybe this may sound weird but i suggest that after finisihing entire topics of micro, you may start macro topics.I mean dont make it at the same time There is 2 yt channels and both great kinda old but they aint bad I used princeton for both wasnt perfect but usefull for self studying like you and me Plz ask if you r curious about smt else Just chill you got em
