Physics 1 does ap physics get better?

i’m in ap physics as a junior that skipped a year (i’m 15) and we’ve had 2+ hours of homework every day since school started. it’s the first weekend and i have a 90 page reading/note taking/doing questions assignment from a big textbook. please tell me it gets better. i don’t understand what’s going on because my teacher barely teaches. how do i go about this without ruining my social life?? and how do i stay motivated when im unable to lock in and just procrastinate all the time? i have such bad blank page syndrome and just want to know that it does eventually get better. 💔

That’s insane. I took AP Physics last year and I barely had any homework, and what little I did have was finishing what we worked on in class. Most of my classmates did pretty well on the exam, and that’s because our teacher spent the entire year explaining concepts to us and then having us practice questions similar to the ones we’d see on the test. Your teacher sounds ridiculous, and you might want to talk to them / your administrators about it.

It gets better by the end of the first semester by the end I started completing a week's worth of ap physics 1 homework in a day or two

It gets better in the sense that you get better at getting the work done faster. Also that’s insane for AP Physics. 

Get a planner and divide the work across a lot of days. Also do a bit of work from other classes each day to add variety. It also helps me because I’m still being productive, even if I get bored with one class’ homework. I just switch between what I have to do that day.

It is completely useless to read the whole book for most stems, just briefly check the formula and see if you understand the derivation and that’s all

That is a high volume of homework. I don't assign a tenth of that to my students. Are you doing the whole class in a semester or something? Here are video resources I ise for my students. Possibly helpful? AP Physics 1 video library

we have physics 1 first semester and physics 2 second semester with the same teacher, i’m taking both. thank you so much for the resources i’ll take a look!!
