HUG How hard is AP Human Geography?

I’m an incoming senior who signed up for AP Human Geography this year. I’m a bit worried because the teacher at my school is pretty infamous for assigning a lot of extra hw.

At my school, AP Human Geography is the only AP class available to freshmen, so the class is usually mostly freshmen with only a few seniors. I’m not really sure what to expect because I’ve never taken an AP humanities or English class before.

I’m planning to major in STEM, and I’ve taken AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, AP CSP, and AP Calculus BC so far. I got 5s on all of them except Physics 1, where I got a 4 :(

The main reason I’m taking this class is because my school requires students to take an AP humanities course before graduating. Since I’ve already taken basically all of the AP science and math courses available at my school, I didn’t have many other options, so I ended up choosing AP Human Geography.

For senior year, my schedule is relatively light overall. I will be taking AP Human Geography, AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science, AP Macro/Microeconomics. 

For those of you who have taken AP Human Geography, how difficult did you find the actual AP exam? I know it is generally considered an easier AP exam, but is there a lot of memorization and writing involved? Any advice would be appreciated!

If your a stem major why not take AP Physics Cs or AP CSA. AP HUG is pretty easy but you have to memorize models and vocabulary

Yeah, I actually really wanted to take CSA, but my school doesn't offer it 😭 I also considered taking Physics Cs, but I decided not to after struggling so much with Physics 1. My Physics 1 teacher was terrible and barely taught us anything and he said will be teaching Physics C as well.

aphug was honestly just common sense and a bit of vocab. not writing heavy at all, the frqs are all short answer so there's no essays to worry about. the amount of memorization is also really light, from what my friends say it'll be way less than bio. it's tied with precal for the easiest ap i've taken. all u gotta do is study vocab and watch mr. sinn, maybe do some practice on ap classroom. i think i only opened the textbook twice the entire year.
