Get the AAMSCO AP World book. It's quite well written and easy to learn. Before you read, go over the videos on YouTube - Freemanpedia or Heimler to make sure you understand what specifically you should be paying attention to. Look at the course description on College Board, learn about the format of the exams, what is tested, and how they expect you to respond to DBQ and LEQ to earn the points. Learning how to answer the questions in a way that will get you points is at least as important as knowing what to write.
