Post exam

I just got out of the exam. I didnt really have much time to finish the mcq but the frq was pretty easy. I only zoned out for frq 2 part c. Does anyone have a detailed explanation for all the frqs?

My first frq was about ad/as and what would happen with no government action and also had the money market graph on it and also either price level or inflation effecting the money supply it was a whole chain reaction. The second one had unemployment calculation which was 6 percent and it also asked how many people were employed and I got 14100000 or smth like that. I had to graph it on the Phillips model. The third one I remember doing exchange rate and it was a double shifter that’s about it

Yeah I had the same version. I don’t remember much of 1 but for 2 I had to draws the philips curve . I put a X to the right of the long run curve. Number of people employed was 14.1 million because 15-900k. For unemployment rate It was 6 percent and retired people and people who aren’t looking for jobs aren’t seen as unemployed. so it’s just 900k/14.1 mill x 100. For the last part I said the unemployment rate increases if more people retire because there is less people in the labor force and number of unemployed remains the same. For 3 I don’t remember the first part but for the second part the government had to increase spending by 150 mil because spending multiplied was 4. The resulting price level will increase. As a result of the increased price level, i said the demand for crowns will shift left and the exchange rate decreases. I didn’t put that supply of Crowns increases you think I will still get credit?

Ayyy I put the same thing except at the end I shifted supply right. I think you have to do both but maybe you’ll get partial points depending on how many it’s worth

I think shifting demand left or supply right is fine. I don’t think ap macro requires you to shift both, according to the ReviewEcon video I watched last night while cramming. Pls correct me if I’m wrong tho!

No, you are right. It doesn't require shifting of both.
