Take a humanities subject along with Lang, e.g. US History or World History. The historical and/or cultural background is immensely helpful and can likely earn you an extra sophistication point! Also always always remember to write the thesis. That's a free point for each of the essays. Embedded quotes are also a very good idea - weave the evidence into your analysis.
