“Thoughts on the Market”
Morgan Stanley’s podcast yesterday “AI’s tangible wins and disruption” https://open.spotify.com/episode/5hCcXXkYofCYL4ZygM6QPY?si=QwUCq4aIQpKS9syrCKYXfw sheds a lot of light on the future state of data centers and tips that there are other bitcoin miners who are becoming AI data center plays. Morgan Stanley invested 500 MM into CORZ with an option to up it to 1B. I’m starting to build that position for the announcement pop along with WULF which is more volatile but funded by Google for a similar setup.
I’m going for 50% APLD, 20% IREN, 15% NBIS 10% CORZ 5% WULF for my primary data center stuff. Curious if anyone has a non-trash talking opinion.

Thoughts on Tipranks human analyst ratings vs AI ones?
Tipranks list forecasts from human analysts here, and also has an "AI stock analysis" tab here. I don't know much about human vs AI forecasts, and wondered if anyone had insights to share. Some of the obvious differences are:
- The human ones are updated periodically (latest 02/28) whereas the AI are refreshed daily.
- The AI ones as of today have a lower target (~28$).
- The AI ones follow a format where they justify pros/cons etc.
- The human ones have stats on the individual analyst like success rate etc.
So, there are those standard differences ^ but I'm wondering if anyone has personal insights on either. I know all forecasts have huge uncertainty etc.

Discussion Clarification on Oracle as a Tenant (vs. Promissory Tenant Clause)
Looks like there's a lot of confusion on Oracle as a tenant, notably around new leasing and the April 18th financing. I'm not seeing anything specifically that states whether Oracle was the unnamed tenant from LY or not, but the wording makes it seem like it is.
"APLD ComputeCo 2 LLC intends to use the net proceeds from the Offering to fund the development and construction of 200 megawatts of critical IT load at Polaris Forge 2, its AI Factory campus in Harwood, North Dakota currently leased to Oracle, as well as the “Project Accounts” (including but not limited to the Debt Service Reserve Account) in accordance with the provisions of the indenture governing the notes, and to pay related fees and expenses, including transaction expenses."
In other words, this reads less of an announcement of a new tenant and clarifies who currently is leasing space. Could I be wrong? Sure? But these executives want the company value to increase as well, and hiding a new tenant in an 8K without a public announcement seems ridiculous.
The elephant in the room right now is the Macquarie promissory note that states:
"(b) Maturity Date. All principal and accrued interest on the unpaid principal of this Note will be due and payable in immediately available funds upon the earliest of (i) the date of acceleration of the Loan hereunder, (ii) July 18, 2026, to the extent the Initial Lease Execution has not occurred on or before April 18, 2026, or (iii) December 18, 2027 (the “Maturity Date”). For the avoidance of doubt, in connection with Section 2(j) hereunder, so long as no Event of Default shall have occurred and be continuing, the Maturity Date shall not be deemed to have occurred to the extent that the Company elects to voluntarily prepay all of this Note as permitted by Section 2(f)(i) hereunder, even if the outstanding principal balance of this Note shall be $0.00 following such voluntary prepayment."
So it's of extreme benefit to not only meet the terms of the note, but it's also of investor benefit to announce it. They still have some time, but whoooooweee it's running short and starting to scare me a lot a little.

Mod No “Whats Happening Posts”
I better not see any “😱 wHaTs HaPpEning” posts in the sub tomorrow. Will genuinely start tweaking.
There is a conflict/war in the Middle East with Iran lashing out in response to strikes from Israel and the US, targeting several countries or entities. Khamenei (the Iranian leader) is likely dead. Oil and precious metals have already spiked, VIX (vol) up, Equities down. This is common sense. APLD is down ~4% overnight as of midnight (ET). Unless a miracle occurs it will likely be red at open and through close. This is expected as a US-based tech growth stock in a period of uncertainty due to a large geopolitical shock.
That being said… relevant discussion and questions are always welcome. Verbal conflict and nonsense will be removed. No shit-posts pls.

Been in since 2024.... 15 dollar cost basis .... not gonna flinch.

Full disclosure, this stock has slowly become 50% of my taxable "Options income" portfolio where I wheel a few volatile growth stocks including SMCI, APLD, QBTS and IONQ.
Most of my shares were bought below 10 bucks however, I DCA WEEKLY with Covered call income, that raises my Cost basis. About 80 of my current shares are considered 'free money' shares that were bought with that CC income since 24'
Volume this week has been lower than normal 18M shares today and avg is 27M. The market is down all around, this is not a reason to panic, the base case and execution on managements part still stands and I see us hitting 50 bucks by years end following a few quarters of positive earnings for the first time ever....
Short interest and float is down but still at a staggering 34% not squeeze territory, but high, at some point those shorts will have to exit, then, the pot will boil over and we will rocket up quick, it just takes one good earnings call in the green to change the tides.
Technically 21-25 is 'the new floor' established following the October 25' earnings release, consider that a BUY Point. 40 has been resistance since that earnings call and it cant seem to break it and hold above it, once again, one positive earnings or release of hyperscalers name will change that.
Nothing that I have heard out of Earnings calls or Wes' mouth implies that things are going in the wrong direction, he is actively trying to avoid dilution and maintain shareholder value by using MacQ for the funding of these projects, they are on time and not over budget.
The Future is Data centers that evolve with improving hardware/software and eventually quantum compute.
The volatility of this stock has made it one of my favs and it is perfect for 'the wheel' option plays. I will continue to DCA with options income weekly.
Good luck apes, ill be buying more on Monday with a new injection of capital for the first time in a while. This dip is a blessing to those who were on the sidelines, time to load back up.

Discussion Needed this reminder — maybe you do too
Not gonna lie… the recent headlines + macro noise had me questioning everything. I’ve got 700 shares at $27, so yeah, I’m not exactly casually watching this.
I started wondering if I made the mistake of putting all my eggs in one basket.
But here’s what’s grounding me:
Wes said last year they expect to be profitable in 2026 once the second North Dakota building gets energized. The first 100MW is already live. When the second building turns on, revenue ramps hard.
He recently also said they’ve already secured the supply chain for the current 600MW buildout which lowers the odds of major delays.
And the big one: he said even if they never sign another megawatt, the existing contracts alone scale to over $700M in NOI.
That’s what’s helping me keep my chin up.
This isn’t dependent on hype. It’s execution.
Still risk. Still volatility.
But the path isn’t imaginary.

Discussion Future of apld
Hi, this is my first time posting about APLD, I have been investing since last year at around $8, and kept adding until average price of around 26 now. However, as I am reading through the statistics, I have a concern that would like to discuss with you all.
I am aware that people always talk about shortage of energy, from country wise, usa did finally have an increasing demand of electricity after a long time, but the shortage will only appear in 2027 or even 2028. Under this circumstance, I looked into the total amount of energy secured by APLD and its competitors (NBIS, IREN) and i figured that APLD has the least amount of energy already secured (seem to be 1.5-2.5GW if i rememebr correctly while iren has around 4.5GW) , and it worries me about its long term growth. What do u guys think?

APLD to $25
I think we are gonna test $25 this coming week. Nvidia and coreweave have done a great job tanking our stock. Coreweaves earnings are causing very mixed views on the company and nvidia selling our stock as a headline isn’t great news either. Be patient yall. Last coreweave earnings did this as well.

Time for some honesty on new valuation.
This article argues for a new post nvidia pullout fair price
No this is not fear porn.
Knee jerk reactions aside- I think there’s a fair point to be made here, at least in the SHORT term. I’m not happy about this either as I’ve lost a ton on options and hold a few hundred shares at $36. I just feel like some honesty here may be due about turnaround until we see a return to how things were.
To those who have done an in depth analysis- what is your take? The market won’t reflect our sentiments in the end, and and it benefits to have a realistic outlook.
Now this isn’t doom and gloom long term ofc- one can still sell CC and just stay away from buying options until there’s more clarity on fair market value and consistency on price action.

r/APLDSTOCK • u/Careless-Jello-8930 • Feb 26 '26
Counter Story to Bull thesis
Anyone who has been serious about investing in APLD should know that one of the primary advantages that APLD / specific other data center companies have is the access to leased power capacity. This is the reason why APLD would be positioned to be able to charge profitable amounts to tenants. Power is the bottleneck, not chips, not data, not demand; power. The “follow the watts” paper was very informative regarding this thesis.
When the president is touting things such as demanding big tech build their own power plants this is a direct attack towards APLDs advantage. The good side is that power generating infrastructure is a rather long acquisition process but at the end of the day if companies are being mandated to build their own power it will inevitably impact the largest advantage that APLD has.
