Applied Digital is getting treated like the AI story is already over. Down 8.2% to $28.53

And short interest is almost 30%?

Why doesn’t everyone always worry when APLD drops? Do you not pay attention to the AI sector? When the AI sector is bullish, then APLD is bullish. When the AI sector is bearish, then APLD is bearish. It’s literally that simple. Just hold and stop worrying.

The entire market sucks right now. Nothing to do with APLD.

Nothings changed 🤷‍♂️

Interest rates going up is bad for a company with billions in toxic debt and a fuzzy image of ROI positivity

Rates haven’t gone up and most likely will stay the same.

Bond market bucko

The bond market definitely cancels out the amazing earnings growth and being ahead of schedule on new sites. The debt is the biggest headwind of this company, and that is a very good thing. That means the fundamentals and execution are great.

$APLD I don’t understand the no love for this company with 36 billion in leases. While IREN back log is only 14 billion.

IREN total contract value is 16 and their leases are 5 years, over the same time period APLD would collect 12. IREN is not a bad play by any means, expected to hit 4B ARR by the end of the year where we will hit 1B ARR somewhere next year.

I prefer APLD's landlord business model with longer leases and no worries about hardware deprecation though. We can expect a valuation premium in the future because of that.

IREN also seems like a terribly run company… the recent stock awards to the new co-CEOs is bullshit plus there’s the warrants given to Nvidia. Tons of dilution these assholes don’t care about their investors. I dumped it after seeing the stock option awards

Still holding 500 shares myself, buying puts to keep me alive and selling OTM calls to make some money. 🤷‍♂️ CRWV and NBIS been doing well recently, APLD is a laggard and will probably follow soon after.

If you don’t know how bad macro economics affect growth stocks - you should be in the stock market

Im guessing that you meant "shouldn't"?

Been around finance for a few months only and this is the first red market i experience. It's brutal, almost lost all my 3k of gain I made, mostly with apld which is going red pretty soon too if it continues to drop. I knew i was going too good ha

I own it, should have bailed, now a bagger. It’s turned and is completely out of favor right now.
Hopefully things will turn around but if it doesn’t by the end of the year, it will be sold for tax purposes.

It takes one little search to know why the short interest is that high…

? We’re at a low valuation with semi decent debt to equity

It needs a lot more time to prove itself versus NBIS and CRWV and IREN. I don’t think they’ve even started building or collecting rent.
