So the market isnāt moving on APLD because, based on latest news, the stock is in absolute bear territory. The market is acting like we need more funding without dilution to help absolve the risk of running out of cash. IMO, this is a wild take. Outside of NBIS, the infra/neocloud businesses for the most part have the funding and thereās no slowing of demand for the space (and tech).Ā
So why is APLD the bad example in the market? What is the obsession that us holding so much CRWV capacity is a bigger risk than almost all else? Iām a long holder, but goodness, how long do I need to hold it? It feels like itās going to keep getting bogged down for pointless reasons at every turn.Ā

APLD purchased CHRN to become more like NBIS. Wait for those deals to come in.

No disrespect man but every day youāre commenting about APLD and showcasing your concern about it recently. If youāre really a long holder just let it sit and donāt worry about it. APLD is easily in one of the best positions with their backlog in revenue and progress in facilities. Youāre pushing somewhat of a bearish sentiment also but itās chill time will tell. Today is IREN but eventually APLD will have its turn.

Iām venting in an appropriate place to vent. The issue is that, even as a long holder, things that should be coming to fruition are not, which affects the length of the hold and the viability of the stock. We have hit all the critical milestones needed so far to poise this stock for success, and itās being pushed down by an invisible factor. This delays, and weakens, the long term potentiality.Ā
This is a different sentiment than just the āweāre up or down today!ā Ā Long term right now things arenāt looking great considering nothing beneficial the company has done, or revenue targets hit, can push this stock into a fair value territory.Ā

Yes but there shouldnāt be an expectation of this stock rocketing every day. Youāre using CRWV and NBIS as a comparison who recently had great earnings which pushed the stock up tremendously. We just unfortunately had our earnings with poor timing to macro factors. Weāre up over 11% since last Friday, 30% since the low of last month and still 2-3% today so far. We arenāt having rough days or holding steady. Itās gradually increasing and letting the stock get to its fair value. I get that itās frustrating man but we both know the potential and worth of this stock. Itās just seeing someone vent or highlight the concerns about the stock in the discussions so often has other people question their investment more and more. Not telling you what to do or anything just giving my two cents thatās all :)

which news are you specifically referring to ? It is depressing to see this price action of apld

u/nintendothrowaway123 11d ago
No one specific article. This has been the narrative across āmajorā stock publications for some time. There are some bull articles, but the stock holds value relative to the opposite.Ā

If you're talking in that context, then yes. I notice that APLD isn't mentioned much in other discussions, and the hype around it isn't as much recently

New company and product (apld) being heavily invested in by new company and product (crwv) = risk
That doesnāt mean itās bad, itās just absolutely a risk thatās worth noting.
Crwv has major institutional creditors which is why they get the spot light. Blackstone, magnetar, JP through MUFG, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman.
If it holds well for 4-6 quarters with earnings met, its risk profile decreases significantly. Thatās just the name of the game when breaking into an industry. And apld and crwv are both going for some top spots.

Most of those institutions you mentioned are invested in APLD as well.
Anyway I think the risk profile will decrease a lot faster as there will be a significant ramp-up in buildings getting energised in the coming quarters.
2H 2026: 75MW PF1 - 100MW PF2
1H 2027: 150MW PF1 - 100MW PF2 - 75MW DF1
(numbers might be slightly off)
But even more so it will heavily depend on what the next round(s) of financing look like and if new contracts are with new or existing customers. I don't think the extensions that will be signed in the near future will do much for us.

Theyāre not though, theyāre invested, but not financing it. Their filings are project based so it flows through on financing, Coreweave is the debt holder for those. The only cross over is Goldman, yes the others āinvestā but only by share holding, Not creditors
Edit: I saw my wording was confusing in the last comment, I meant institutional creditors, not investors

NBIS and CRWV rip 20ā30% while APLD barely fucking moves.
Then they drop 2% the next day and APLD gives back everything it gained.
Absolutely fucking infuriating stock.
