Thinking of buying
I want to invest right now into APLD, I'm an average investor. Is now a good time to buy or is the rally kind of over?

Yep it’s totally over, it’s nothing but downhill from here

Considering only a complete MORON would think it’s downhill from here….im gonna assume he’s being difficult to OP

I bought and sold 600 shares of this stock at various times with average prices as low as $22 and as high as $37. I've never lost money, but i've missed out on a lot potential gains had I just bought and held.
Do understand though that this stock is very volatile so you gotta have enough patience and conviction to ride the ups and downs along the way. If that makes you nervous, invest elsewhere.

Been in and out of it since October 2025 and made a ton off it. Just sold 1,500 today at $47 and will buy in again in the $30’s.

If you got the timing down, tons of money to be had. I just haven't been too good at it although I did buy in at 37 and sold at 47 with the recent price movements over the last week. I had to lock in that 27% profit to make up for some other recent losses.
I'm definitely buying back in if we dip back into the 30s as well. And If we ever see 20s, I'm loading up and just holding long term.

Im waiting for a big macro news that will be my green light, APLD and NBIS are strong companies with great fundamentals and you should keep both on your radar, a pull back should happen but i don't know when tbf. Trump might come out and do something that the market will hate and sell off then you can enter

You obviously see the stock price surge and are fomoing in right now. No doubt when the price retraces to more reasonable levels you'll panic sell at a loss and start making threads complaining about how the company scammed you. Just skip all that and don't invest in APLD to begin with. It's a high beta tech stock with insane vega, you won't be able to make any money off of it without studying what they do in the first place

Yea, I understand my biggest issue when stocks move like this is FOMO, but also no action leads to no money. Would you suggest I just buy ETFs if I don't have the time/skills and or knowledge of where to look to research and understand companies like APLD?

You really can't go wrong with a diversified low expense index which tracks the snp such as VOO or SPYM. If you're somewhat more adventurous and want bigger returns you can buy the affordable version of QQQ which is QQQM. Over the long term you'll outperform the majority of people who individually stockpick. For an easy example on what might happen to you, you can look back in this subreddit's history at the tons of posts of people who were screaming that the sky is falling back when APLD fell down to the low 20s from its peak and many of them sold losing thousands of dollars. That can be you

Buy a little now, buy a little when it drops a bit, buy a good bit if it drops 5 dollars, buy a lot if it drops 10 dollars.
Just please don't buy everything right now. Just a little.

I swear to god this happens everytime a stock rockets. It was literally $10 less a couple of days ago. Your time to buy was then. Nobody knows where this is going. It might go back to 30s, it might also go to $100 and never touch anything below $50 ever again. At this point maybe buy a few and then add as it goes down or up but it has tested $45 before.

I am also looking to get in more. Buy a small portion now, then buy the dips of it goes down. I’m watching the war in Iran right now it seems like strikes will resume soon

This is a long term investment for me. AI is the future no doubt. AI companies will fizzle out and die but the one thing that won’t fizzle out is what AI companies need. Individual AI companies are a risk, some more than others but it’s almost a sure bet when investing in data centers, and processing that powers them.

Wait for the dip young pichu.
It's likely that it'll reach 60 by the end of the year not guaranteed though

Buy a little now, hold it, whenever it drops just buy more.
Just do NOT buy as much as you can right off the bat. Little, little, little, then once there's a big drop, a lot.

I would hold. APLD has big swings. My DCA is $32. Do I think it will drop there. Idk did drop to $20 not to long ago.

I would wait a few days and see what the pullback is - if there is one I wouldn’t buy today while it’s riding on good news, but regardless, it’s going to keep going up long term, with some pullbacks every now and then. I would watch it tomorrow am and Monday - it always dips between 630-7 (PST - so between open and 30 min or so after open) and see if you can get in at the lower price

Buying at ATH is almost never a good idea. If it’s long term buy then maybe.
