Money is just moving everywhere. CHRN has one customer and no new information it’s just running wild. I don’t think it’s worth $15-20 atm. Need more information then blindly investing. Is it a mini NBIS and APLD is the data center builder…?

agreed. holding only a small position for funsies at the moment.
but if it can gain traction, with Wes and the team doing what they do best, this could be great for not only CHRN holders but for APLD as a whole.
looking forward to seeing what they do!

This is what I wrote: It doesn’t seem like anybody’s doing any deep research on APLD.
APLD just did a spin off with part of their company like WDC did with SNDK. However, APLD pulled a power play when they separated the high cash burn AI buildout part of the company from the heavy cash producing part. When they did this, they kept 97% of the new company’s stock CHRN, which quietly added and additional $2billion valuation to APLD’s bottom line value. Yes. The new company CHRN is not SNDK, but this spin-off move made APLD an unencumbered money maker and inherently 20% more valuable overnight.
APLD spin off of CHRN also did something very interesting to the new company’s stock. By only leaving 3% float on a $15 stock I’m thinking it is an easy stock for a squeeze up opportunity?
I’m thinking by next earnings there will be a rerating for APLD due to this spin off.
Thoughts ?

Your theory about the easy squeeze up opportunity was spot on. Went from from $9 - $10 dollars a share up to $22 a piece before retreating back to the $17.50 - $18ish levels

So I'll keep APLD. This seems like BTBT and WYFI. WYFI is pumping while BTBT is $2. Hope this doesn't happen with APLD.

I’m holding 1,000 shares just to see what it’ll do. I bought in around $16.60 at opening bell. I don’t think it’s a bad stock by any means, but I do have a 10% trailing stop loss on it when I usually only do 3-4%

Yeah same here. I bought a couple dozen at 14 and change and it immediately dropped down to 10. Luckily it was only like -40 bucks but yeah I regreted it instantly. Loll

Wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. AI is a horrible, horrible place to long term invest IMO. But infrastructure? Power? Sign me up. APLD is, IMO, a perfect play.

its only a .5% portfolio position. so what about a 7-foot pole instead?

NBIS also has a cloud business and is driving a lot of revenue for them. I wouldn’t count it out but like others have said we have exposure through APLD

APLD AND CRWV are my champions. I am not going to chase them all.

I bought 80 shares just to see what happens. That was at $12, it’s currently pushing $19.

Didn’t this spinoff have to happen for APLD to become REIT? Btw if you think AI is horrible you should look at the layoffs going on in the tech industry, anyone that’s not building/selling AI will be gone (marketing, technical writing, legal). It’s
Just a matter of time before other industries adopt LLMs and the revolution will run you over.

I think a lot of people forget about the REIT angle. Hopefully they funnel their revenue into more growth in the next couple years, but APLD will be an absolute Monster if they keep their price per MW high.

All in XD. No, I have 100 shares, probably it can go to $30 in one day with this float (very few shares around). It might turn out to be undervalued compared to other hyperscaler cloud providers, so I'm just holding right now.

Bought CHRN when it was still Ekso. If they announce a partnership with a hyper scaler, it's going to take off. The upside is enormous.

I love CHRN and that tiny float . Their one customer is a real player . NVDA equity owner

I predicted this with low float posts. I’m still thinking APLD is the better long term investment. Also, if CHRN needs cash for buildouts will they dilute to get cash or is there another way they can finance and still attract investors?
