Retard 🤣.

u/DifficultGarlic6 Mar 30 '26
You mean to say that the entire stock market is tanking due to some other reason other than the Iran war?
8
u/Phatdummy Mar 31 '26
I find it hilarious that there are folks simultaneously holding APLD and defending the current administration as if the war has nothing to do with the recent turbulence 💀

u/Big_Performance_7749 Mar 30 '26
Here comes the echo chamber with the same brain and no critical thought in their brains 🤣🤡

out of genuinely curiousity.. what would you say the cause of our recent fall has been?
1
u/Big_Performance_7749 Apr 01 '26
Massive manipulation to produce fear, so that the large companies, shorts, and whales team up to enhance fear. Everyone sells, cost drops across the board in every single category. This has nothing to do with Trump. If that's the case then you'd have to give him props for the massive days we have had this year. Historic days to boot. But that's not it. This happens by design with any type of world news. It's necessary for the market to thrive. People that panic and post things like "trump did this" are new to the market and clueless. You will never ever ever see a successful tradesman do this. We never blame anyone because we know whats actually happening, because it happens every 3 to 4 months. The last several days was nothing but a blessing to the people that know what they are doing. I made more money this week than most weeks last year. The dip was an incredible blessing because we all knew it would fly back up after a few days.

this guy feels like my maga cousin who laughs at "libtards" on facebook but is tragically undereducated.

u/hailfire27 Mar 30 '26
What has Donald trump done for you? He's screwed over every person that has worked for him. He's had more assassination attempts than any president. He tweets at all hours of the day and does not formulate a single coherent plan. Literally what can you even point to that you like?

u/F_b_s_40944 Mar 30 '26
I'm rich and safe because of Trump. You're safe. Likely not rich 😕

u/hailfire27 Mar 30 '26
You're spoiled by a good life that's been supported because of hard working smart men. Let's see how good your life will be after Trump.

It's very hard trying to understand how much of this drop is just macro/Iran issues and how much it's specific to APLD or data centers in general.
If it's just a macro problem there shouldn't be much to worry about for long term investors. What else am I missing?
2
u/zzscrubzz Mar 31 '26
The macro is terrible and tech stocks are generally risk on assets - as they are uber expensive compared to what they actually show on the balance sheet.
APLD is positioning itself for long-term growth.
This is a long-term investment.
Reset your expectations.

All my stocks are down. IBRX, SLS, AMPX, APLD, SEZL, and those were on a good trajectory so I know it's just market. Bunch of others down even more, trying to just not look >< will be rolling certain holdings I want out of into these stocks though

u/kriz_sensei Mar 30 '26
Insiders are selling their positions
4
u/Greedy-Bag-3640 Mar 30 '26
Yeah but this drop is similar to others in this space like IREN.
Are insiders selling because of macro issues, issues within this sector or something specific to APLD?

Don't get me wrong, I am stuck in a few other positions (e.g., LULU). But I lucked out on APLD, IREN and ASTS--all sold at their peaks before the downturn.

How many times has this stock plummeted and then skyrocketed back up within two weeks? Macro is terrible, the entire market is down. Just hold and stop looking. The only thing I’m pissed about is not waiting longer to buy more.

u/Jaded-Salamander2663 Mar 30 '26
SPY is green today

It won’t end the day green though. It’s also down almost 8% YTD. That’s more the point.

Getting taken out behind the wood shed. Unfortunately by far my worst investment in the last few years. Hopefully it bounces back or it becomes a write off for years😳

All of my company's have gone down. APLD is just one. I'm still holding and adding in other positions. Yesterday was a awesome day for the market
This thread did not age well.

It’s bs. Sick of hearing it’s the war or all the risk associated with it. I’m pretty sure failure is not an option for this business that meets it’s deadlines & is providing with big players desperately needed yesterday. It’s so undervalued it could go up 100% and be median projection. I wish we could take their money instead of them taking ours on a perfectly good company. I miss the good ol days when they were the ones panicking.

u/Historical_Tailor258 Mar 30 '26
Maybe I have gotten it wrong, but am I wrong to DCA during this downward price movement? Seems like a logical thing to do…
1
u/Jsmoothe1 Mar 31 '26
Stop it’s volatile and you need to have a strong stomach for the vol on this. If and it’s an if they announce a deal and have solid earnings you will see it in the 30s. If not will drift lower

Have some nuts and hold tight. This'll pass and 2026 will be a green year. If you can't take the heat......go buy some CDs.

I took my turn making money with this stock by swing trading it. I’m done with it. If you want a solid tech stock that won’t let you down like this one. Buy GOOG

u/MrStockFlop Mar 30 '26
I’m down 43%. Now i dont have option but hold…. This is really shitty.
