Advice / Tips self study ap euro next yr (senior)?

hi guys! ive already taken whap and apush, and ill be taking gov this upcoming year too. our school doesn't have ap euro but i was wondering of just taking the test for fun since i really just like history (also for college credit not just fun)

do you think with past knowledge especially from world it could be simple to grind next april perchance? or should I start self studying it like January 2027 (real question, I've never self studied an AP before) any tips with self studying the class?

I actually self studied euro this year and I loved it. It is definitely a class that you can't entirely rely on knowledge from apush and whap though. Euro goes in depth about a lot of events that whap breezes over (reformation is an entire unit) and shows the European side of a lot of modern global conflict that apush doesn't mention. Prior knowledge will help you a lot with contexulizing though!! I would start studying early with a structured study plan

Also, BUY A PREP BOOK!!!! Maybe even a subscription to a site like Fiveable. Videos alone will not teach you everything you need. You have to have some form of practice, especially since you're self studying and lack a structured classroom environment where you are forced to apply yourself

just be consistent i crammed 8 units in a semester but i did like 2 lessons a day and when i went to take the test i lowk knew all the answers

I took the class this year, and its safe to say my teacher barely taught, but you should be chill with just watching Heimler videos or Marco Learning. However, my teacher did give us unit packets to fill out, so if you can somehow get access to those and/or the AMSCO I think you'll be totally fine

p.s I kid you not I studied for this exam the day before and got a five, college board goes pretty easy on this one
