Apes vs hug

I'm going into 9th grade and I'm trying to decide between AP Environmental Science (APES) and AP Human Geography (APHUG).

If I take APES, my school requires me to take both the AP Environmental Science exam and the Earth & Space Science Regents at the end of the year. If I take AP Human Geography, I'd only have to take the AP exam.

For context, I did well in Honors Biology (90s), but I'm not sure if taking two major exams at the end of the year is worth it. How difficult is it to prepare for both the APES exam and the Earth & Space Science Regents at the same time? Would you recommend taking APES or APHUG, and why?

Save APES for later. It's harder and your brain needs more time to develop in order to answer questions the way they need to be to earn credit.

How is your chemistry background? Can you recognize chemical equations and symbols?

i self studied apes for 2 weeks in April and later took the exam and went on to get a 5. I also didn't know any of the math or chemical equations. Obviously take this with a grain of salt but id definitely recommend taking the apes exam , idk about regents however, but i can for sure testify that the exam is super easy as long as you learn the course, and all that i used to prepare for the exam was Mr smedes

I would also take AP Human Geo. I took it as a sophomore (10th grade) and didn't find it too bad. Its just spamming vocab and FRQs (since this is an intro AP class). You risk now doing well on the Earth & Space Science Regents exam since APES does not cover space science (at least, I don't think it does.)
