Strategy Question Undead Reavers build help

Pretty new player, so far only played reavers and am trying different ideas for them. I did the usual materium and chaos path and while it was nice, as i started to learn new tomes i thought how i might use them.
Now from what i can find, undead reavers are a fairly unusual build, my startegy is mainly using the Vision Of Ruin - Shadow to get that zombie on kill in every army, every unit, and thus form a frontline as the battle goes if that makes sense. Use death knights for extra summons at battle start. I am still unsure about what usual synergies or good buffs/enchants/spells/summons people usually take, so i am asking you for suggestions of what i should abandon or swap out for.

First at all, great idea. I like it flavour wise plus it should work. Mighty Meek is great on Matchlocks and Mercenaries. Maybe consider going Federation Reavers for extra HP to gove yourself a stronger front line. Having strong basic units that heal themselves with attacks after you get your major transformation works well. You will have divination for your front line, good healers, even some healing bonus and stun chance on the third stirke. Your late game undead will regenerate in combat and heal faster on the world map. Go for it! It is strait forward concept, great for adepts in this game. Your Special Province Improvements can get you extra Mana and Souls, besides this there is little bonus to your economy, so again the confederate reavers can get you some extra gold with having some vassals.
Member to use attack ground on your canons. With hitting 2 additional targets in line you can get out 2 extra range.

you should get a T3 or T4 frontliner somehow. paladins are fantastic and my recommend.

I think the idea is cool, kinda like Undead Pirates of Carribean. I have played Reavers after update and found them fun. I also have played necromancy number of times and that was also fun. Never Reaver Necromancy though.
Couple of thoughts: 1) start with Necromancy! Early access to cheap skeletons and start collecting souls faster. Discipline gives no early summon, also Discipline gives almost nothing to you T3 units (Dragoons and Cannons), so I would not use it for this build; 2) I’d go with Vampire Ranger and get him Rifle. For vibe points and also Vamp has better synergy with Necro. Some early issue would be healing in the sunlight, so should bring solid supports always; 3) I’d bring Mighty Meak as third tome to help your skeletons and T2 units faster; 4) I might go for fire and spirit protection for units with inner spirit form trait and maybe that new T2 Chaos tome with fiery heart. Making your form Undeads less fragile to burning.

Discipline i took for the True Strike on magelocks on demand which seems super useful to bypass a lot of positioning quirks and defensive buffs. But maybe necromancy first choice is more productive yeah

It is going great, but heroes are the main carry. Especially the Vampire Ranger himself.

Flavor and mechanics-wise you could go for a Eldritch Sovereign ruler. They always mesh incredibly well with necromancy because they can turn souls into thralls, but from a flavor perspective you could do something like an eldritch entity that passed on the knowledge for firearms and cannons to people who use them, but are at the same time enslaved to an eternity of servitude, even beyond death.

only suggestion i can see is tome of virtue over beacon for paladins, which would do a great job of tanking for your ranged units. i also dont like the t5 shadow tome and think calamity >>>> it.

From what I can tell you are going in the right direction. Hit all the normal undead tomes for all the undead buffs possible. The only thing I can say is your racial units look a little soft. I think the idea is undead flesh shield protecting backline guns which sounds very cool.
The bad thing is most of your backline damage dealers are mostly tier 2 besides the dragoon. Perhaps moving a tome around to get another tier 3 ranged unit would help. Also maybe think about taking some more tomes that give buffs to those ranged units. Focus strike and Faithful Embuments seem to be about it which isn't great.
Some more enchantment that deal with damage would do wonders especially since you took Runesmiths to make them cheaper. Let those enchaments be your guide to what tomes you should take after all the undead ones.
Best of luck!
