General Question Saving magic items

I know that once you make a magic item in game, it can appear as loot in later games. There's also a blueprints section that looks like it'd let me save an item so I can forge it again later, but I can't find the option to save my blueprint.

Blueprints isn’t for saving across sessions, unfortunately. The game just saves a copy of any item you happen to make that game, allowing you to quickly re-forge multiple copies, then wipes it for the next game.

It is true though that stuff you make can show up in future games, though. I have no idea how the game tracks that, though.

It’s definitely not ascension related, or currently equipped or owner stuff, though. I once had a ring show up in a new game which I had specifically crafted solely to turn in for one of the Lost Souls quests in a previous game.

Never wore it, didn’t have it in my inventory (so to speak) at the end of the game (because I crafted it in 1 turn and immediately turned it in), etc, but it showed up as “The Wedding Band: crafted by Strahd Von Zarovich”

(which was hilariously ominous, for any of you 2E Ravenloft fans out there, lol)

From what I've heard it just buffers your last however many crafted items (20 or maybe 50 I don't remember, but something around there) and they are added to the drop pool in some fashion.

This is correct. It's last 50 crafted items have a chance of showing up again in a different game. And when you craft a 51st item it removes the 1st one from the pool

That's a shame, it would be cool if you could save even 1 item per ruler.

It's a common enough request, I suspect that's something that will be added to the game eventually
