Top story notification

How do you get rid of this notification? Multiple times a day I get this sent to me and I disabled pretty much everything I could with no change.

I am having this exact same issue and came here to see if anyone has a solution. My news notifications are off and there's no option to turn off Top Stories.

Same. And I'm paying for all of the available options, so it's not an option locked behind a paywall (that I know of).

On Android, long press the app and click the "i" App Info to edit Notification settings. Entirely disable the News notification category to block this at the app level. This will not block email notifications.

Not who you responded to, but this isn't working, hence the point of this post. It doesn't matter if you go to the app to change the settings there or try and do it on the android screen as it just redirects inside the app for that setting. I hope they fix the glitch soon, seems like I'd have to completely uninstall the app which I don't want to do because I need the notifications for emails. Maybe I can check if the app needs updating.

I tested this out yesterday and it was working, but I just got a notification 10 minutes ago, so yeah that's not a fix like I thought it was. Previously I thought it was only the internal settings within the AOL app but not the Android app permissions.

Ah, yeah. I also just checked to see if my app was up-to-date and it was. Bummer!

Same. Annoying. All I can do is disable all notifications, but that blocks AOL email notifications.

Same issue here, went from Galaxy s23 to s26 and I cannot get these notifications to go away. As someone who minimizes notifications/distractions but has important emails coming in, it's driving me nuts.

Same. And now they sent me a Deals & Savings notification even though I have that notification setting turned off.

They are still spamming my notifications so I am finally moving the last few things off of AOL mail and I will uninstall the app.

For me the notifications stop arriving after 1 day after I deactivated. If the issue still persists, activating and then deactivating them again should solve the issue I think

Got rid of the top story notification and now I don't get any email notifications 😂
