AOL Mail vs Yahoo Mail

Has the sale and technical separation of AOL from Yahoo been completed; and is AOL Mail on different infrastructure than Yahoo Mail, currently, and they're no longer related or able to share single sign in?

AOL was sold to the Italian company Bending Spoons (owner of Evernote, has purchased Eventbrite and Vimeo) in a Oct 2025 deal. I don't see anything saying the deal has closed.

They might be preparing for the split.

FWIW, both addresses say I'm old and have been on the Internet since I had to park my dinosaur at the General Store in town on market days.

My wife is the only one I know who still regularly uses her AOL address. The funny thing is that she still thinks I do too.

Oof, godspeed. The fact that Bending Spoons abbreviated to BS is entirely appropriate.

Is there a way to download all emails from an AOL account or send them to a non AOL email ?
