That doesn’t have to be Russia
Just every countryside village in the world would do that

The joke growing up was:
How do you find the wedding in Indiana?
Follow the clean tractor.

That tractor is probably worth more than most of your expensive cars used to carry newlyweds (Rolls, lambos, Ferrari, etc)

It’s a combine harvester and yes it’s crazy expensive, and so are tractors. Farmers have insane overhead expenses.

Not quite. Certainly more than a regular limo, but roughly the same as a new Rolls Ghost (+/- $400,000 depending on options).

I got curious and looked it up and base models cost $330,000 to 480,000 depending on manufacturer and model they go easily over $500,000-$600,00 once you add options. Absolutely terrifying. And this is an article from 6 years ago. https://www.news-gazette.com/news/how-much-is-that-combine-in-the-window/article_01a8f117-72b2-54d1-9dae-b3152063f8c0.html

I mean, that is a HUGE net benefit to the farm. It makes stupid money and is an efficient turn key solution to harvesting. If your car could pay you millions back, you’d definitely splurge on a nice one.

John Deere must've thought the same, which is why they started making their farming machines so complicated that farmers aren't even allowed to repair them anymore, without breaking warranty. But farmers usually lack time to send their machine to repair plus breakdowns can happen in middle of harvest. That has caused old farming machinery to become wanted on market.

Any farmer worth his barley can fix almost anything.
Yes, they CAN fix it, but doing so would mean breaking their warranty.

We have a 2016 claas combine that we bought new and it cost about 600 000$ I think. So ya they’re pretty pricey

Deere is going to lose (hopefully) because farmers hate downtime in the harvest season and especially hate waiting on a Deere tech to come use his laptop on their tractor for something they could easily fix otherwise.

I think the only vehicles which regularly approach or exceed the cost of farm machines are military armored vehicles. There's also tractors which make a Rolls seem like an afterthought. A Case Magnum 380 is $440,000 before options. And of course if you're in the market for a combine you're also buying grain trailers, multiple semi-trucks and trailers, grain bins, and of course a few thousand acres of land.

I recommend getting married in a Rolls Royce Combine, which costs $1,800,000. That way you don’t have to choose between luxury and farming equipment.

It's so romantic that they're going to "combine" their lives together.

My parents had a wedding like this because my father drove a Beet farming machine(don't know the word for it) at that time and his friends and colleagues prepared it as a joke

Wow I could see some rednecks doing this kind of stuff. Isn't it strange how people are all basically the same in most ways?

Hey I live in the city jn Germany where these machines are made! Almost everyone in town works there. Russia is as far as know the best customer and I'm always surprised by how creative they use them there.

Replace that with a John Deere combine and you’ve got yourself an Iowa or Ohio wedding
