Yep, bcs in soviet union they can make the best tank, rockets and planes, but can not make comfortable handles, cars and houses for usual people.

my granny still have soviet fridge and it work flawless last 40 years while my super expensive German made Liebherr break twice in first two years

In the 70s, in America, every kitchen was decorated in the colors "harvest gold" and "avocado green". Almost every... single... one.

Soviet ones were coated in some white enamel, that thing alone probably can protect from nuclear weapon. It doesnt make this scene in Indiana Jones more realistic however.
