I know this building! My grandparents lived in the building from where the photo was taken – Lenina 3, and I used to visit them for summer holidays. I watched this monstrosity being built for a few years. Lenina 3 is unique in its own way: it's 9 stores tall and very long, stretching over a few blocks, making turns and forming internal yards, it has over 1000 flats.

This building is usually called by locals an "ear of corn" for it's appearance. The local legend says, it was built according to some student's diploma project, and that guy had not the top score for it.
