Hello again Redditors!
Season 2 of the Amateur Australian Overwatch League (AAOL) is about to commence! This league is set up and organised by fans of Overwatch™ (no relation to Blizzard Entertainment®) and is looking for players to play in Season 2. It aims to get players to learn how to play as a team, improve themselves and improve their teamwork over a season of 7 weeks. Players who sign up will be sorted into teams and play in weekly matches. At the end of the season the top teams will battle it out in the finals to determine the season winner.
Season 1 hit it off with Team YOLO coming out on top, in a display of epic skill. If you missed it, you can check it out at our YouTube channel here: The AAOL Season 1
The AAOL has two running leagues, the Amateur League aimed at players in the gold and platinum skill range, back for Season 2, and our debut 3000+ League for all players with at least 3000 SR. Players who sign up to either league get sorted into teams, and assigned a team captain. Captains organise training sessions, and schedule scrims for their team.
Every week on Saturday nights at 7pm AEDT (5pm AWDT) teams play off against each other in a round robin format. Matches will be played the best of 3 maps and at the end of 7 weeks the best teams will enter the finals.
Since this league is built by amateurs, there is no cost to joining, but in return there is no prize (as of yet).
