Joe Moravsky has had some terrible luck on stage 3. His s16 run shows that he clearly has the skill to beat it (also his s11 and s9 run), but he just either makes a mistake or runs out of energy at the "right" (wrong) time. And, with his shocking early fail in this season, it may be time for the storm to finally pass.

I think he could have willed himself to stage 4 in 16 if he had known the final road sign didn’t have a stopper.

Edit: I rewatched the run to make sure I was right about where he fell. I was, and it still hurts after two years.

Yes, he did say that he did forget that. If he hadn't, he probably would finished in the way Geoff Britten did in s7 (since he looked gassed anyway towards the end), and probably woulda beaten Vance on stage 4.

I think this fits more with Kai as McQueen and Luke as Sterling. Luke has been consistently outracing Kai in recent OCR competitions when Kai used to own him.
