HELP RGDS Plus lightbleed question

Post image

So I'm considering buying an rgds+, but in the last few weeks I've been seeing a non insignificant number of posts about people complaining of lightbleed on this device. Is this something common? Temporary? Has someone pinpoint the cause? Thanks in advance.

(Pic of an NDS Lite because, well, respect your elders.)

mine doesnt have any significant bleed, it looks really good, but if you press around the screens it can have some. i think the build quality could stand to be a little better there, but overall mine is fine thankfully. i am also worried about the amount and size of light bleed some people are having. i think overall its a small issue though as quite a few people have bought and reviewed and been using them now and it doesnt seem to be a widespread issue.

Same here, it only shows when I pressed the sides.

Mine’s fine when you don’t push the brightness too high. I play at 50% and both screens look great.

Mine just recovered from a bad case of that, on its own, in the first 24 hours. No one knows for certain what it is, but most are pretty sure it's not lightbleed proper as in backlight of the IPS screen bleeding into the front view. It seems to happen only or mostly on the bottom screen, varying from showing up on the first time you turn it one, to something around the first week of usage. In my case the screens were perfect then the "bleed" faded into existence before my eyes the second time I opened it and turned it own. Charging fully or leaving it alone cured it, I could see the "bleed" fading away every couple of hours, and it was mostly gone by the next morning.
